What a lovely place. Lamb was great, steak and ale pie spot on. Ribs spicy and hot but great portions. Crumble was real crumble and Belgian waffles were excellent. No complaints. Going back. Quality excellent
Amazing pub, really family friendly and always make us feel not only welcome but always cared for.
Me and dad visit once a week just for a chat and a laugh then the family including our new born regularly visit for its wonderful atmosphere.
Stopped in for a pint on a sunny Sunday afternoon and was not disappointed. Not a huge selection but a decent pint. We had already had lunch so did not partake in the carvery but it smelt and looked delicious. The beer garden is spacious and well kept with views of the surrounding country side. Plenty of parking.
Both my husband and I and our 2 dogs love this pub. The landlord and landlady always go out of their way to accommodate us, and our 2 dogs always get a tasty treat on arrival. The Sunday carvery is great with generous size portions and a good variety of meat and veg to choose from. Angus and Sherry will be sorely missed by us when they move on to pastures new
Our second time. Very pleased this time. The first had meat in pie overcooked and our deserts were only warm rather than hot. This time excellent. Service is excellent. Setting is attractive. Will become our regular choice.
Delightful setting. Although they appeared to be short staffed we were served by very pleasant friendly waitress able to answer questions about menus. Food was delicious and well presented . Highly recommended. Well done
Very good and efficient staff, excellent food. Dog and family friendly with nice beer garden. Would have enjoyed it more if some patrons didn't smoke in the eating/drinking areas - not nice smelling others' smoke while eating nice food.
Nice pub hidden away in the middle of the Hampshire countryside not too far away from Denmead. Plenty of parking and outside seating. Nice views of the countryside. We were too late to see the food so can't comment on it. Drink prices were on par with other country pub's we have visited. Two things to point out, kids are only allowed to stay until 19:00 and it closed at 20:30 with last orders at 20:00. If you are planning to stay late(ish) then you will need to check their website for opening times. Barmaid was grumpy when I commented on the fact they closed earlier.
I didn't get to have any food but what people came out to the garden with smelt and looked gorgeous. I didn't see many plates go back in with anything left on them. Might go back and enjoy the carvery.
Cannot recommend the Chairmakers enough, for a lovely summer's evening drink or meal in the garden, stunning countryside and the food is delicious. I had the prawn linguini and it was absolutely delicious, the time before I had a pizza which was out of this world. They are doing something with the outdoor dining at the moment so there is rubble under the picnic benches, no good if you are wearing heels, but assume that is a temporary thing. Staff are friendly, food delicious, a 5 star recommend to anyone. Thank you.
