This is a marmite place, love it or hate it! And when its good, it's very very good, and when its bad its horrid! But I've missed it since its been shut, but its had a makeover while its been shut, its lovely, manager and staff doing their best to keep social distancing going, staff cleaning tables

Great pub good selection of beers great atmosphere and a very good quiz on a Monday. Live music at the weekend and an open mic on Thursday. Very friendly staff and locals
Definitely the best venue on South Road for live music, maybe in all of Crosby/Waterloo actually. Staff are really friendly, the people are really friendly, it's overall just a great place to go for a drink.

I love it here..from the quieter daytimes to the excellent open mic and live bands..newly refurbished toilets are a welcome bonus

I was glad to see the toilets had been decorated and sorted, had a feel of the old stamps, familiar faces and actually a great time had by all, my opinion of this place has changed significantly, the atmosphere was fab and the music was great
