Lovely pub with great parking. Staff are super friendly and nice!! Sunday roast is great value for money and very large portion sizes! Great for families!

Korean pork belly bites and the tomato aranncici were delicious. The plating of both dishes was so pretty. The pub is very big with lots of seating areas. Although the pub was 100% empty when we arrived, the lady said she will check first if there are available tables, which was very weird. Prices are medium-high.

We had a wonderful meal here this evening. We cannot thank Carrie enough- she made our visit so enjoyable, she was really fun to be around, our daughter instantly adored her. We were surprised when our bill came because it was suuuuch good value for money- the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Much higher standards than the price would suggest. The pea pasta dish was wonderful and the chocolate fondant bomb was WAY beyond what I had expected - heaven. I usually seek out my favourite restaurant in London for a less delicious version of this and pay a lot more. We also recommend the kids cheesecake DIY sundae. My little one enjoyed mixing her own concoctions so much! We were blown away by what we thought would be a causal evening meal - beyond casual food but still had the causal friendly, welcoming vibes that we were hoping for.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. would highly recommend to anyone. The only downfall I could see was the decor could do with some TLC and a new carpet. Other than that fantastic place to eat and drink and a lovely open fire to keep you warm on the cold days and nights.

I stayed at the premier inn in wateringbury for a week for work. I had breakfast in The Wateringbury everyday for my trip and I want to thank Carrie for exemplary service, she made me a feel so welcome and at home and helped with my home sickness! Her whole energy is impeccable and even watching her with other customers is wonderful. Whilst I was there they were extremely short staffed and she handled a large rush with such ease. She deserves a raise!!! I cannot wait to come back. Thank you Carrie!!!! The food was fresh and hot, the coffee was hot also. I have no complaints.

We recently celebrated a family birthday here. The day was nothing short of excellent. The buffet was delicious and plentiful, not readily advertised so do ask staff if you have a larger party. I can highly recommend the sausage rolls. The staff went above and beyond to make the day special, we couldn't have asked for anymore. Thanks to all.

Last minute decision to book a table for 2 as we had a couple of vouchers to use up, booking online was nice and easy. When we arrived, there was ample parking available despite there being a Premier Inn next door. On entering the door, we were promptly greeted by a friendly staff member, our booking acknowledged and shown to our table, menus were on the table along with the NGCI menu for my wife, who is Gluten intollerant. The waitress introduced herself and then left us a few minutes to decide on drinks, then came back and took our drinks orders. For mains, my wife ordered seabass risotto, and I had steak and ale pie with chips. We then waited for an acceptable amount of time until our food arrived. The food was amazing, plenty of flavour and perfectly cooked, couldn't fault it. For dessert my wife had sorbet and I had caramel sundae which again were very good. Only minor negatives were my wife's vodka and soda waters, the first came in a reasonable sized tumbler full to the brim with soda water and the second came in a larger glass again filled to the brim, so couldn't taste the vodka, obviously a personal preference but maybe something to consider! The other thing of note is that the actual environment is looking a little tired and could do with a new carpet. But that said, overall, a very enjoyable evening, good company, excellent food, friendly staff, and good value for money. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

We had a lovely lunch at the Wateringbury Hotel. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent. Competively priced. It's a real treat to eat there. They had an allergy tablet that had all the menu individually listed with all allergies so you could find something to suit your allergy requirements.

Lovely village pub, with good food, and a nice beer garden, where you can enjoy your desert in the sunshine. Good value for money, no need to book, and friendly, funny staff.
