Totally Amazing Tapas!! We absolutely loved our dinner at this great little place. Fabulous food that really had outstanding flavour. We loved the intimate vibe of the place too, friendly service and romantic music. We’ll be back soon!

Bloody hoofing food. The best place to eat in west Somerset. This is the first review I have ever posted that's how much I enjoyed. The food.

My favourite restaurant! Eaten here with family and friends lots of times, and always had a fabulous time. Food is amazing - hard to stop myself over ordering! Desserts to die for. Only niggle is having to take cash and they don't take cards.

Been several times, normally when the tapas menu is on, but last night's Moroccan night was equally superb. Now a plea to all customers. If you make a large booking please have the courtesy to turn up or give them plenty of notice. It's only a small place and no-shows hit them hard.

The Cat's Whisker is a hidden gem! The tapas dishes were delicious, with a perfect blend of flavors and textures. From the patatas bravas to chicken with cider sauce, each bite was a delight. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere added to the overall experience, making it perfect for any occasion. I highly recommend The Cat's Whisker for an unforgettable dining experience.

Incredible food but rather abrupt waitress who didn’t seem to like I had been abroad so knew about tapas! Would suggest the concept of serving it all together doesn’t work for dietary requirements like vegans and allergies. Would definitely go again but hope to have the other waitress who was incredibly friendly. 2 hours limit to the table which wasn’t mentioned on booking or arrival but 10 minutes before our time was up leading to some speed eating.

The Cat's Whisker is not over-stating it. Certainly the best on offer in Watchet, that we could find. Thats not saying much in itself as the competition is wanting in Watchet. But the tapas here is up there with the best that we have had (Shrewsbury, Glasgow, Swindon, Cardiff, Dolgellau, in order of preference). Anyway, back to The Cat's Whisker ... superb. Angela slipped us in when we arrived unannounced (a risky thing given the compact nature of the restaurant). Don't be put off by the musky smell. It was opening time after all and the food aroma had not had chance to overwhelm. Neither be deterred by the slightly terse personnel (I put it down to being stressed out a little by unexpected guests when a birthday party was due to arrive soon. The table confetti was objected to!). The food was exemplary. Hard to pick the best dish, so working up from the least remarkable .... the mushrooms were good enough but not memorable. Potato bravas was a pile (even when sharing) and came with aioli and a tomato sauce. King prawns had a garlicy kick. Lamb koftes were very tasty. Arancini were super. But the beef espetada was gorgeous, though not on a skewer. It was a so rich slow cooked beef and butter bean casserole. Stunning. But not as stunning as the deserts. I thought my creme brulee in a china cup and saucer was class, you should taste the chockate brownie which was my wife's choice. Wow. As it is only open from a Wednesday to Sunday, definitely book. Oh, and the price ... brilliant value at £52 all in.

A really quirky place for a meal with delicious food and friendly service. The staff were very knowledgeable about the food and the chef is obviously very talented. Nicely presented dishes and arrived quickly. At least 6 vegan and vegetarian options as well as gluten free. Good idea to book at typically busy times as it's popular. Parking is a few minutes walk away in a public carpark which is free after 6pm.

My Dad lives in Watchet, and a visit to the Cat’s Whisker is an essential element to every family visit. So many of the dishes to commend, but the aubergine is particularly special. We are also big fans of the baked camembert, and my kids love the charcuterie board!
