Since the pub has recently been taken over we thought we would try it out for tea with friends. It did not disappoint. Food was amazing and the staff were great. Great choice on the menu, something for every taste
Really helpful staff, and a great room for a live band on a Friday night, with plenty of room for a dance too. Loads of parking, and an easy load in for bands.
The new young manager is doing a great job, the pub looks smart and he is a proper barman. Even went to find a schooner glass for the brown ale, how rare is that, and "plays" the beer pumps with both hands and multiple glasses so you rarely wait long to be served.

Seen this place on a local Facebook group, the food looked lovely so I thought we'd give it a try. I had the Hogfather burger and the Mrs had gammon steak with chips. Both were cooked to perfection and very very tasty. From outside the building itself isn't too pleasing to the eye, but they've obviously done the best job possible with the exterior. The reason I mention that is that you shouldn't let it put you off, it's nice inside, well decorated and clean. The barman that served us was friendly and professional and I'm not sure if it's a family run pub but his service was top notch and he obviously took pride in his job. You could see into the kitchen from the bar which my wife noticed and said was a good sign. It gives you a sense of trust when you can see what's going on in the kitchen and all of what we saw was clean.
I'm all for supporting local businesses and this is definitely a business deserving of the support of its local community. We will come back.

Fabulous pub, really friendly manageress and manager. Bar staff top grade. New manageress will be doing food again once the brewery sort out the kitchen.
Quiet small local boozer. Very good prices here and good quality that I tried. The place could really do with updating and decorating tbh. All in all a good spot for a quick one.

This is the 2nd time I've had Sunday lunch delivered and both times received exactly at the time requested. Beautifully cooked food, generous portions and good value for money. The desserts are delicious too!

Fantastic pub. Nice atmosphere, quality beer and great food. They've done a good job redecorating, lounge looks very pleasant and the bar is still good crack. This is the best pub in Washington.
Great service, fantastic atmosphere and covid guidelines were adhered to and explained brilliantly. Big shout out to the staff who went above and beyond their normal duties. Live entertainment was excellent.
Since the new owners took over this place they have refurbed the place to a very good standard.
The food is a good standard at reasonable prices, the drinks prices are also reasonable.
It is nice to have a good local pub that you can go to for decent food and drinks.

Absolutely beautiful decorated, and serving the most beautiful food. I had the build-a-burger meal and was cooked to perfection, and homemade chips are the real winner. Definitely Be Returning.... Well Done Everyone
