I was in town for a few weeks and visited this restaurant. I was so impressed I had to visit again before leaving.
Not only that, but I visited several other restaurants in Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside, which were in similar or higher price brackets, but none of them were quite as well-rounded
Went without a booking late on Sunday (5.30pm) looking for some grub. Really nice guy, Arjan, accommodated us outside and informed of the meats remaining - pork and lamb - no complaints from me! The weather was nice, the sun was shining, the food was excellent, the staff were great. Special shout ou
Sunday lunch for my wife's birthday we couldn't fault the food! Dry aged Aberdeen Angus beef melted in your mouth, just wished we had room for desert! Next time
I really could not be happier to have such a wonderful restaurant on my doorstep. This little gem is a very high quality establishment with food that is comparable to some of the better restaurants in Newcastle and the wider North of England.
We've been at all times of year on dates and with family
Absolutely brilliant! Lovely food in a great setting. Had a three course meal and each dish was carefully presented, perfectly cooked and flavours worked well together. First visit here, but definitely not the last.
Very nice food and a cosy place to eat, with friendly staff
Another fantastic Sunday lunch quickly becoming our favorite place for our Sunday dinner. Had the sticky toffee pud but didn't hang around on my plate long enough to capture a photo
Perfect setting for our anniversary. The food was amazing along with a comfortable atmosphere.
Beautiful authentic British cuisine in as very nice surrounding with attentive staff and a reasonable wine choice.
We had a lovely night last night at the Forge, a group of 13, the food and service was second to none. Would definitely recommend this restaurant
