I went there for my Christmas night out. I was over the Moon it was Friday, and it was buzzing with lots of people and a karaoke. we had a great time and will definitely be going there again.
I go occasionally for the carvery with my daughter, granddaughter and baby grandson. on a Wednesday and it has always been lovely.
The staff are very friendly and the food is absolutely gorgeous. You get plenty of meat on your plate, the yorkshire puddings are homemade and not frozen.
Also the mash potatoe is proper mash and the gravy is thick unlike some places i have been too. The pub is lovely and clean with a really nice relaxed atmosphere and the carvery prices are not expensive either......

We had cause to use the Black Bush earlier this year for a Wake after a death in the family. We visited to pub to discuss what we needed. From walking into the place to make the arrangements, through to the end of our celebrations we found the management very helpful. They helped us to work out what we needed and to calculate the numbers and amount of food that we would need. There was a great choice of food both hot and cold. The currys were particularly good. As a family that has several females in it, we asked about Prosecco which they readily supplied and at a great price. I think some were surprised at how many bottles were made to vanish. The managers also got us involved in some bar games, including pool. Overall the venue is of a good size and comfortably sat about 40 guests. They also provided us somewhere to put memorabilia on as well. Drinks prices were very reasonable and overall we had a great time. We'll definitely be going back again to try the Sunday lunches.
Overall, a nice place with great staff and great value for money. From ourselves to the staff, a great big thank you for making what was a sad day into a happy celebration.
Booked function room for my 60th birthday party. Food was great more than enough. Friendly and attentive hosts who couldn't do enough to make the night special. Would definitely recommend for a function.
Lovely meal, home made chilli home made chips sour cream sooo tasty portion was large . Granddaughter had cheese burger again all lovely home made chips, and fresh salad, none of the token lettuce leaf all salad and juicy tomatoes were fresh. Service friendly nothing too much trouble will definitely return if just for the home made chips.
Canny night out well worth a look on Steve the dj/karaoke guy really knows he's stuff mixture of music and Patrick the landlord is really friendly highly recommended
Went as a group of six got a lovely seat. Food and service was amazing at a very reasonable price if you want home cooked tasty food and not the frozen food you get in a lot of pubs I would really recommend giving the black Bush a try

We had my sister's funeral at the Bush yesterday. The food was good and the tea and coffee, which was help yourself, was on tap. We were given a lovely separate area at the front and everyone remarked on how nice it was... the bar was there for those who preferred a pint. The egg sandwiches and brocoli quiche were particularly good. At £3 a head I was amazed at the choice of food supplied. It was coming up to lunchtime and I noticed that the Wednesday carvery in the main area was home cooked and there was a simple choice of two roasts and a choice of fresh veg etc.
I was very happy with the atmosphere on what, for us, was a sad day.

Me my husband and 2 boys came here last Wednesday for the carvery and it was amazing the staff were lovely and made us feel welcome from the minute we walk in the door will definitely go back again
Jimmy has brought this place back to life! Really nice crowd of friendly people. Great to see kids laughing with their family and friends. Great value too. We shall return!
Nice little Sunday dinner. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Busy early lunch time so booking required but eased of by about 2.30.
We had our daughters 21st birthday (Mad hatters tea party theme)there and the new landlords were great.
We all had a good night and were looked after superbly.
