Ritson's Bar And Residents - Wasdale Head - Photo album

Lovely bar. The cozy fire and comfy seats are a godsend after a long walk. Black pudding scotch egg was nice, burger was good. Chicken Katsu also looked good. Very nice after a long walk. Lovely staff
This is my second visit and all I can say it's as good if not better than the first to staff at absolutely fantastic and I would like to mention Reece the chef for helping me out with food when I had very little money also thank you to Gillian that helped me out x and it's quite amazing that she man
My son and I came here for dinner during our camping trip at Wasdale NT campsite. We had the best time! Food was amazing. Portions HUGE and maybe the best burger I've ever had. Service by bar team awesome.. friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Took time to talk to my son about wildcamping and inspired
A nice warm pub with good local beers and a nice warm fire on wet days. What more could you possibly want after a (potentially wet) trip up a mountain. The beer is also reasonably priced given the location and from what I saw the food looked good as well. Atmosphere there feels very much like a prop
Very quaint and typically walker/climber atmosphere with plenty of outside seating to enjoy both scenery, food and beverages. Kind and friendly staff. Sorry, but low cloud/mist spoiled the view.
Made a recent trip to the bar, and although the indoor oven was out, the trailer arranged for making food produced the best fish, chips and mushy peas that I have had in years. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will have another meal here the next time up to Wasdale Head.
A lovely pub in the middle of nowhere great stop off for hikers and campers food was very good nice selection of beers very isolated at the top of the lake, great atmosphere Wi-Fi and phone didn’t work though. Nice pub a mile walk from my National Trust campsite down the road.
Lovely place to relax after a nice walk. Great selection of food and drink.
Best gluten free fish and chips I’ve had in many years. Really friendly and helpful staff too. Have a drink outside by the stream, wow, its amazing
Fantastic place for a pint or three out back by the river looking up at Ritson's Force after a rainy day hiking in the mountains.
This is one of the most amazing places I've ever been, eaten and stayed. While doing 8 Peaks Challenge the staff have been wonderful and so accommodating. I would recommend this for anyone who is a foodie or fell lover THIS IS THE PLEACE!!!
Friendly people, good atmosphere and a cold beers after day of hiking.
Great place for stopping, lovely atmosphere nice music, and food is impressive .lots of history in this place
Lovely meal after a great walk
This is one of the most amazing and beautiful places I have ever been. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. I was doing 8 peaks in 2 weeks challenge for prostate cancer. The chefs there deserve more notoriety as there food is amazing. It is also amazing for a nice refreshing beverage af
Perfect after a long day of hiking in the rain, this place has a warm and welcoming vibe. We were clearly not "typical hikers", but there was no sense of not belonging, and the evening was very enjoyable. Great value for your money, and the food was enjoyable as well (one sharing platter for 4 fed 6
Fantastic pub - incredible food, very generous portions, and great beer selection. Vegetarian options were good too! It's pretty much the only pub in the area, but despite that they have a fantastic level of service, food, and drinks.
