Everything you want in a nice meal and reasonable prices too. I went for a chicken and bacon salad served on a boatd. The Hatton Locks Cafe situated by the Grand Union Canal and the 21 locks from bottom to top climbs 150ft. Its worth a visit and nice walks there too.
Lovely little canalside cafe. An excellent array of outdoor seating, some of which is covered. The toasties and the soup are delicious, made fresh and not terribly priced. The drinks less so. There is a small car park with free parking just next to the cafe, but spaces are incredibly limited. 100% r
A quintessential English canal side cafe. Most beautiful setting with traditional menu options. Great spot for tea and scones or a morning breakfast. Highly recommended.
Great cafe and the food is very tasty. The popularity of the cafe highlights how good the cafe is. There is plenty of outdoor seating, some of which is covered by a substantial sized gazebo. A great place to come relax and watch the world go by.
Amazing cafe β¦ was hoping they had ice cream of some description as I had been refused service at the Hatton Arms due to sitting outside!
Bonus though they had a range of alcoholic drinks and I had the most amazing Prosecco with a salted caramel plant based Ice cream.
Big thank you to the amazing
Alaways, take my kids up to the locks when the weather is great .you can watch all barge's come through . The cafe has great food and cakes and even cater for dogs to .
The ice cream is great as well .
Really enjoyed visiting this cafe after a walk around the locks. This small building is chock full of canal based historical items and goods for sale. We enjoyed the roast pork and apple baps with coffee and pink lemonade. There is extensive outdoor seating with some under cover in an awning. The e
Lovely little canal cafe, great value and great food. Was here for a Friday lunch and although busy we were served quickly. Good coffee and plenty of food / cake options (reportedly world famous scones, and those that ordered seemed to be very satisfied)
We didn't want to stop at a service station o
Partner & I grabbed a smashing Bacon Cheeseburger and breakfast bap today for a quick takeaway lunch and it reminded me to leave a review.
Perfect HONEST little cafe near the locks; we grab a coffee every time we bring the dogs. Itβs just straight up, unpretentious, really well priced, and the staf
What a find ,right by the canal and serving really excellent food and drinks. Very friendly and well trained staff. The jacket potatoes we had were very tasty and hot and had accompanying salad. Two lovely decaf lattes and all arrived in very good time , served by a very friendly waitress. We will d
After a pleasant walk along the canal,it was good to be able to purchase a coffee and sit outside looking at the narrow boats sailing by. Such a relaxing place to spend time there.
Not only does it sell a selection bid drinks and food but also has an interesting selection of soverniers and canal rel
Great place for a short break when walking along the canal paths. Very friendly staff, dog friendly, clean. Moderate seating inside, lots more outside. Food is always fresh and the drinks are nice. Definitely reccomend
This is a great lock side cafe. The food is tasty. The staff are very friendly. The only downside is that indoor space is limited. There is lots of room outside if the weather is OK.
Great place to stop for a warm up on a cold March day on a motorcycle ride out. Deluxe hot chocolate was great and very sugary π
Lovely place to stop after ascending, or before descending the Hatton Flight. (I bought a couple of Souvenirs). Seemed very popular.
Always a friendly welcome, and now a special place for Bikers. Great food, lovely location. A great place to stop off when you get the bike out. π
Lovely area with lovely staff. Sit in or outside and watch the narrowboats go through the locks. 21 in total and a lovely walk. Lots of choice of food and drink in the cafe. Well worth a visit.
Delightful little canal side cafe. Had a full English before tackling the 21 Hatton locks. As a point of interest the place is rammed with what could be described as canal ecoutraments. These are for sale but make for an interesting look round as you are taking breakfast.
My only slight criticism of
Very well located cafe right on the canal-side. The bacon & cheese burger with a coffee was perfect for refueling after an 8.5 mile walk along the canal & surrounding areas. Seating indoors & outside. Loads of choice of snacks, drinks, and ice cream etc.
