Rang in and phone answered quickly. Excellent staff. Polite, friendly and welcoming! The cottage pie was homemade and tastey. A good mix of locals and walkers. It's dog friendly. A great spot for a few pints and a bite to eat. Sky sports on site, cant go wrong!

Had a tasty pie & chips, along with a delicious cheese cake. The pub would really benefit from taking pictures of every meal on the menu before it gets served and put the pictures on Google maps.

Very nice pub for a pint or a bite to eat. A good range of well kept beers served by personable attentive staff and a very personable landlord. We had Sunday lunch which was unfussy good quality grub, very tasty. We will return.

Fab food. Didn't book. Just walked in, grabbed a table. Lamb shank with lashings of gravy was as good as it gets. Other halves chicken burger was also good. Service great. Thankyou

Called ahead to book a table for 2, arrived to a friendly welcome. We both had fish and chips followed by cheesecake. Food was lovely and plenty of it. Couple who looked after us were friendly and gave suggestions of places to visit. Good food, kind people, what's not to like. ❤️

We stopped off for lunch on a walk from local Carnforth via the Lancaster canal. The host was very friendly with advice on where to visit in the area. The shared platter and the soup served with fresh warm bread was delicious. The pub was very quiet at lunchtime and we were tempted to stay and watch the Ashes on the large screen. I can recommend it highly. We will definitely visit again.

Very convenient from the M6 serving nice food at reasonable prices. Lovely people looked after us today. It's about half way between my daughter in Warwickshire and me in Scotland so we'll be back.

Friendly staff and a Landlord with a sense of humour. Tasty food too. The tuna, onion and capers on brown bread with chips may be a simple snack, but it was delicious. 😋

Just what we needed to break the journey north. Normally stop at one Tebay but their restaurant would have shut when we got there! Eden told us they normally stop cooking at 7.30 but reassured us we would be fed when got there….. And indeed we were, delicious home cooked Chicken Pie with fresh veg and triple cooked chips 👍 Thank you Linda Great chat with the locals and lots of info to make it an overnight stop in the area next time. We didn’t leave our specs after all… it’s an age thing! but thanks for the great response 😊

Would highly recommend. Proper pub that is family friendly with great food and drink. We ordered double cheese burger, chicken burger, garlic mushrooms, extra portion of fries, 3 cokes and a Wainwright for £40. Fed and quenched 4 of us for £10 each can't say fairer than that. All freshly cooked and of high quality. Log burner on and the football. Plus a play park outside to keep the kids busy. Excellent service

Visiting the area and came here for tea because of the good reviews, glad we did. The food is classic pub food and excellent both in quality and value for money. Service from Laura, Linda and I'd best mention Eden was excellent with some great banter from the locals as well... Well worth a visit
