We stayed at the Greyhound Inn as our good friends were getting married and had their reception at the pub. I could not fault anything. Our room was a great size with a lovely en suite and decorated very nicely. The staff were fantastic and so accommodating. The food was delicious with a good choice on the menu (you have to try the pizzas!!!) Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return in the future

I stayed at the Greyhound for 2 nights and it was a very lovely experience. The room was very modern and super clean even though dogs are allowed to stay. I brought my own dog with me and they were accommodating of her and she was allowed all over the pub which was great and unrestrictjve. It is in a picturesque quiet village with lots of places to go walking near by which is why I chose this location. I stayed on a Monday and Tuesday evening. Tuesday is their darts night and the bar was very busy after 8pm My room was directly above the bar so be advised that the noise did travel through and whilst it was not awful it did make it difficult to go to sleep, having said that by 11pm all was pretty much quiet so it wasn’t too bad. The lady was very nice and she even offered me a pack up when I said that I wouldn’t be having breakfast on my 2nd day due to leaving early.

Stopped by for Sunday Lunch today after a walk at Thor’s Cave! We pre booked on the Saturday and they were able to fit us in, had 2 types of mea on for the Sunday roast and 2 options for a veggie roast (veggie sausages or a potato and spinach pie) - portion sizes were fantastic, roast potatoes were incredible and they were very generous with the gravy! Veg was freshly cooked (broccoli and cauliflower maybe a little under done) but the roast carrots were fab! Really decent price (£45 for 2 meat roasts, 1 veggie and drinks) and fab selection of drinks as well, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a proper good Sunday roast in the area! They were also able to cater to my dairy allergy and I was able to have everything on the roast except the Yorkshire pudding which was great!❤️

Great pub and beer garden. Also great is that they have a games section of the pub, pool, darts - but bring your own darts as theirs kept going missing, and a selection of games. The lady that served our meals was lovely, very attentive and communicated well, she was on her own and was very busy but that didn't stop the excellent service she gave. The man at the bar was a bit frosty but he also was very very busy.

Fantastic food, great service, lovely little place which we stumbled upon on a walk with our 4 kids and dog. Dog friendly as well, but our little pub got a bit over excited inside so went outside. Pizzas are amazing!!

We really enjoyed the room and the cooked breakfast was excellent. The continental breakfast was mostly just toast or cereal, but it was free, so no complaints. We also ate in the restaurant one night and found the food to be delicious. Some of the own brewed beers were really good, and the area is perfect for hiking to local hotspots such as Thor's cave and Wetton Mill. Was a good trip overall and can recommend the hotel, the bar, and the restaurant.

Called In for a lite lunch. Menu looked amazing but only did main meals and we had a pizza night at our lodge park. Instead we chose 3 sides to share. The chips were the best, the onion rings were crispy and tasty and the coleslaw was thick and creamy. We even took a take away tub of coleslaw to take out. Staff very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Would definately return amd recommend.

Comfy, cosy rooms above a welcoming pub with a great range of well kept beers, some from the pubs own micro brewery. Very friendly and welcoming, owners, staff and locals. Well located for exploring the Peak District and further afield. Hearty cooked breakfasts available for a supplement, continental breakfast included in the room rate. Good, honest, decently priced pub food served daily. Nothing to dislike, I don't usually revisit destinations but considering a return trip here.
