Food - great portions and really nice. Had lasagne, cauliflower cheese and kids sausages mash and beans.
Service- friendly service but food was 35+ mins.
Atmosphere - was a quiet Sunday at midday. Men downing pints but not rowdy.
I've been here a few times when in the area for business, and it stands out as having good food, a comfortable atmosphere, and cheerful and helpful staff. Above all, I've been very happy with the meals I've had, and wouldn't miss their Simply Ice Cream dessert.

Lovely quiet pub, perfect for a nice drink and some lunch. Service was excellent and the food was great. Dog friendly too. Lovely atmosphere and the family, dog and I had a great time. Loads of parking and shops. Thank-you very much.

Lovely friendly staff. Not alot of choices on the menu and was suprised to find no salad options either. I ordered the jacket potato chilli with sour cream . Looked nice when it arrives but upon eating found I had literally only 1 tablespoon on chilli on my jacket and the rest was just sour cream with no chilli underneath it. Mentioned my dilemma to the waitress who took my meal away but advised if I wanted an extra portion on I'd have to pay...or the chef could do me another plate with as she agreed alittle more chilli on it. This I thought was an okay compromise. New dish arrived and yes I guess with maybe 3 tablespoons of chilli on my jacket potato.
To have this as a main and charging as a main I feel management should actually increase the portion size. If it was from the starters section I would feel no need to complain but seriously there was not enough to warrant the price.
My situation was dealt with appropriately and the food did taste nice though .
We are from Manchester and we make the trip to stone mill for so many reasons the food is excellent and the staff are so friendly Allan who’s been our waiter a few times is so nice and always goes that extra mile not just with us you can see it with everyone couldn’t rate Allan highly enough but this spreads through to the rest of the staff aswell location is prefect aswell to be sat outside in the beer garden couldn’t rate stonemill highly enough!

We had a bit of a wait to be seated but the people there were all friendly helpful and polite. The staff advised over various diet requests, eg: vegan vegetarian Gluten Free and slimming world. We were a party of 26 with an age range of between 6 and 90 and everyone, without exception enjoyed their meal. They provided a knife plates and forks for the cake we brought in too. I can't believe I'm saying this but even the pizza chef and Andy the carvery chef were lovely smiley people and happy to help with the dietary constraints of our party. Fabulous evening! I chose 3 small plates and I wasn't disappointed, didn't think i would be able to finish them all but I did, I was stuffed our waiter was excellent great service,
Had a lovely time last weekend here celebrating my brother's birthday. Delicious food but even better staff! A young sever named Klaudia took our orders and was extremely polite and friendly. Very cozy atmosphere inside made even better by our pleasant service experience.
Great place to have dinner with the kids and family, not too crowded at all, just a walked in.
Very welcoming staff, table service was excellent, prices are a bit dear but was very good quality.
