Reviews The Kings Head

The village community has joined together to get the pub back on the map as a place to relax & enjoy good company. As yet, no food but it is hopefully on the cards. Quiz night was hilarious and doggies had free reign - a brilliant, friendly atmosphere in quaint, old English pub ambiance. Call in and support our village heritage, you'll find a warm welcome.

One of the reviewers said 'drive on' This is completely not the case now. The landlord's wife had suddenly and unexpectedly died during the time of the first review and the village were pitching in to help. Kenton has turned a previously 'shackled' enterprise pub into the Freehold and traditional and authentic pub which is now thriving and successful. If you are looking for good, authentic, local, award winning beers in a comfortable log fired setting this is your pub. There are dog treats for those walkers who call - to the point where all the dogs in the village strain on their leads to visit! There are cosy, intimate corners and a small library of books for sale for charity. There are fortnightly quizzes and regular darts matches. This is what a pub used to be like. There aren't many of them left. Enjoy.

Good little country pub. Cash only so you youngsters beware, 😂 they do very good sandwiches, and the beers are great.
