Lovely pub, had some excellent pizzas and very reasonably priced - especially compared to a lot of pubs in the area. We didn't book and had no problem getting a table in the lovely garden, which is fab in the evening sun. Great friendly service too!

Been for a drink a few times. Lovely pub. restricted parking as no car park but just a sign of it's popularity, especially on a Friday night when I've always found it to be buzzing.

Brilliant food and the staff were fantastic. They made us feel like regulars. I would thoroughly recommend this pub, the only downside is there is no carpark so parking can be abit difficult.

We were driving back home from Birmingham, fancied some lunch, so searched on Google. After reading the reviews, we are glad we came along. Simple, yet delicious food, reasonably priced. Gutted we couldn't have the interesting mini camp fire desert, as we were too full from start and mains. Come along hungry, staff friendly.

Beautiful local setting with food and drink to match. Just off the village green in a stone cottage setting little changed and well preserved. Food is classic pub fare. Real Ales are real. The interior is as cozy as the exterior is inviting. Food: the recommended haddock fish & chips with peas is lightly breaded on site and cooked exactly as it should be. The pictured plate in my review is *half* a serving. I split the generous full portion. Fish cakes with chips and salad was very tasty, according to my partner. My next (dinner) visit chose 'pie of the day', chicken, ham and mushrooms with chips. Made on site daily, it was good to the last crumb. It's my personal recommendation from the menu! Service and decor is friendly. The owners deserve their 5 stars.
