Absolutely lovely! Used to come here a lot, but this was my first time back since it's been freshened up! The pub remains basically the same but it's been spruced up and is very warm and welcoming, full of character and just a lovely old country pub! The staff were lovely and friendly and very chatty! The food here has always been delicious, the pies simply to die for, so I ordered with baited breath hoping that the food here remained so tasty - I was not disappointed!!! The spiced pumpkin soup so scrummy, full of flavour and nice and warming on a lovely autumn afternoon. Now to the pie......... IT WAS AMAZING!!! I had the three cheese, spinach & apple pie with mash and seasonal veg, it was quite simply the best pie I've ever eaten, I could have had another one if I wasn't so full!! The whole place has been given a lovely homely refresh and the updated B&B rooms look lovely, we will definitely be booking in for a weekend away so we can enjoy more delicious pies!!!!

The change has been for the better, food is still best pub grub in the area, staff are really nice and very professional. Had partridge tonight, cooked to perfection. Steak and Ale Pie is great, and the steam pudding is to die for on a cold winters evening. And Lola is a sweetheart.

Been going to this pub since our first ever visit to Norfolk in 2014 when it was lit by gaslight! Returned for an evening out on Sunday and had a fantastic meal. Food, beer, service and venue excellent. My wife and I both had starters. Prawn salad and mushroom and garlic croquettes. Delicious. I then had the beef roast. Meat done to perfection, a lovely rich gravy and superb veg selection. A big Yorkshire pud topped it off. My wife had the homemade beefburger which again was superb. Back in September for more. Had no room for a dessert as the portions are excellent.

Wonderful lunch - the pub has recently been spruced up. They have maintained the character but have cleaned it all up - the food was super. I fully recommend this pub.

Beautiful traditional pub with great service, real ale (of good quality) from local brewery's served straight from cask and a gorgeous open fire, just what you want on these cold winter days. Stopped to have a bite to eat today and had a beautiful homemade venison pie with seasonal vegetables which hit every spot, even the 1's I didnt think needed hitting. Will definitely come again. Child, dog and welly friendly! Thank you

Food was exceptional. 3 very happy customers. Pork and apricot pie was to die for! Only slight gripe was the potential for some background music to create a bit of atmosphere in the pub, But couldn’t fault it. Being part of the renovation work it is nice to go back in and see the pub doing well and positive feedback on the look of the place. Will be back for sure.

This pub is perfect. The main pub rooms are authentic & unspoilt. The food is delicious and the B&B rooms are five star luxury. Despite the food & B&B trade the pub has retained a strong pubby feel and is still occupied by a friendly bunch of locals.

We didn’t stay in a room, so have rated them four stars. We stayed in Stiffkey and were told we had to go to the Three Horseshoes. So glad we did! Best pies of our lives! Absolutely gorgeous! We had the steak and ale and beef and blue cheese. Amazing! If we lived more locally, we would make a point of trying every pie! The meat melts in your mouth and the liquor has such depth. The pastry is flaky and buttery. Heaven on a plate! Our kids had the Mac n’ Cheese with chips and said it was the best they ever had (this comparing to Mac n’ Cheese at Twenty9, which is great, but The Three Horseshoes is better.) The staff were completely wonderful. The restaurant is clean with a great abundance of charm. Dogs are allowed. And parking is not a problem -Use the car park across the way. Such a great area overall. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Another terrific January break at this wonderful pub, a hidden gem only a couple of miles from Wells and the coast. Friendly staff, great food, proper beer and dog friendly - what’s not to like. Comfortable room with a huge bathroom. We were sad to leave but we’ll be back. Kay, Dave and Dylan the dog 🐶

Great village pub with extensions and rooms, very friendly staff and a good selection of local ales. Log fire during the einter months. The food is very good indeed, but it's still a pub and let's hope it stays that way. Their pies are outstanding.

Food is excellent beer very well kept and the service brilliant. We stayed in a cottage in the village and had dinner their most nights. Booking a table is imperative as it is very busy.

Came for dinner with my girlfriend on a Saturday night. The place itself is very pleasant and rustic, the staff were very polite and prompt. We both had the steak and ale pie and it was delicious, good portion size no shortage of anything. Great value also.

The Three Horseshoes is an old fashioned pub, with newly constructed rooms attached. The bar hasn't changed much for years. An open fire is a big feature and popular with anyone who has done a walk across the country. Just up the road is Warham Camp where the Vikings landed a thousand years ago and more. The village is quiet and a mile or so from the sea. Food is good and good value. A steak sandwich is 6.50. Pies are a speciality. Garden is nice in the Summer.

Didn't stay, just popped in for lunch. We hadn't booked as it was a Tuesday lunchtime in November, so assumed we wouldn't need to. Thankfully the staff got us a table for three, ordered two starters three mains and a dessert. All the food was top quality, mum's fish and chips was enormous and she even liked the mushy peas (which is normally a no go). The pub is apparently know for its homemade pies, and I can see why! Beef and Binham Blue cheese pie is probably the best pie I have ever eaten. The pub filled up quickly with bookings, most of whom ordered pies. Lots of punters asking them to sell them individually and it would be great it they could, but I understand the logisitics of why they can't. My advice is to book, no matter what time, day or time of year it is. They are pretty much fully booked during peak times, and heard the staff only offering 5pm-6pm or after 8pm on a weekday.

A wonderful experience. The room was well appointed with everything you could need to enjoy your stay. We ate in the pub for dinner, which was also excellent, tasty food, great service and very reasonably priced. The location is perfect as a base to explore Wells and the wider Norfolk coast. Highly recommended.

Came here with family on our Norfolk Holiday, most of us had one of their pies or burgers, the pies were quite frankly the best pies we've ever had. The burgers were huge and very nice also! The chips were like chip shop chips and went very well with the burgers. We had a big bowl of veg between the three of us who had pies. There was plenty of room either under the tables or beside for the dogs to relax. Would 100% recommend and will return if we are in the area.

Just booked for one night after seeing local show. Bitterly cold weather but lovely warm cosy room. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean, ample parking. Friendly helpful staff, and excellent breakfast.

We only ate here so couldnt give rating on rooms. Best meal in a long time. Lovely tranquil garden with well spaced out comfortable seating. Ample parking, clean toilets. We had sausage and mash, and steak and ale pie, both were good. Pie had a lot of very tender meat. Nice array of veg. Thoroughly recommend.

We went twice in a week whilst on holiday in half term ( end of Oct/ start of Nov 2023 ) Food was delicious on both visits . Lamb and mint pie was oozing with melt in the mouth chunks of meat. The fish and chips was top quality and the syrup sponge was very more-ish. Lovely atmosphere with log fires cosy rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit .

We visited the Three Horseshoes at Warham for an overnight stay as it was my partners birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Very comfortable room (Holkham). Great decor. HUGE bathroom with shower and slipper bath. Great Menu. Decently prices. Thoroughly enjoyable evening meal. Great service. Thoroughly enjoyable breakfast. Well done Team Three Horseshoes 👏👏 Very well placed for Wells, Walsingham, Binham, Blakeney to name just a few. Not too far from Hunstanton, Cromer and Sheringham. We'll be back 👍

Didn’t stay but did have a fabulous dinner. Mushroom walnut and stout pie was a revelation and my mum’s fish pie had lots of big chunks of real fish. Would definitely return if in the area again. Looks like a great place to stay as well.
