Oooh I love Holme Gardens. My favourite ever garden centre and cafe. The plants are lush, the pots are fab, the gardens gorgeous, the strawberries to die for, the farm shop excellent, the pond a delight, the cafe a 'must stop for coffee place', the cakes delish, and the gift shop great. Add on top of that knowledgeable and approachable gardening staff, a great dog hanging around to supervise and very friendly staff and you have Holme Gardens. Wish I lived there...
Wonderful garden centre, with knowledgeable, helpful staff. Great tea rooms, with fabulous cream teas (other great food too) and beautiful, inspiring gardens to wander through. Plus, a farm shop with wonderful bread, fresh veg, delicious quiche, beers, ciders, frozen pastries, and numerous other goodies. Holme is a great place to visit for so many reasons. My family are real regulars; we love the place!
This is a lovely Garden Centre. The plants and flowers are presented well and are of a great quality. The food served in the cafe is top class and the surrounding gardens are a joy to walk round. Their farm shop has so much to offer too! The service received from all the staff is second to none!
Holme Gardens is a truly great facility in this part of Dorset but would be well worth travelling to. The shop covers a wide range of interesting food, the gardens are inspiring and the café with two outdoor pond areas the best I've ever experienced in a Garden Centre. Keep on doing whatever it is you do... You have developed a brilliant place!
I am a regular here and we love it. Bought lots of plants over the years and eaten st the Orchard Cafe many times and always found it excellent. The cooked breakfasts are great and the lunches are superb from the salads to the lasagne it's all freshly cooked.
In the winter months the soup and fresh bread are delicious. I have also bought my Xmas tree here for years. Service in all areas is great and the farm shop is perfect.
A wonderful place to eat and visit the staff are all soooo nice Simon and Liz and their staff always have time for you. When sunny sit outside by the pond and enjoy the lovely plants and fish. At the moment the gardens are just great with loads and loads of Tulips a wonderful sight please do go and pay them a visit now need to travel to Holland!!! And all the plants are good to with great advise to boot should you need it. Support your local garden center I say. Thanks to all the Team there.
I have been coming to Holme for years and all of my family love the cafe with there excellent food and the gardens. But to be told we now have to pay £3.00 each to walk round the gardens we have decided to go to either the Wishing well at Upwey where if you pay for a meal the entrance is free or Moreton gardens where again the food is excellent and there beautiful gardens are free to walk round all they ask for is a donation. We have bought so many roses, hanging baskets and spent a fortune in the Cafe but I am afraid you have lost our custom
Lovely place to visit. The gardens are delightful and peaceful. Also has a very good restaurant and a very good farm shop. All highly recommended.
I’ve never been before but was recommended by a friend.Beautiful herbaceous borders , amazing colour combinations and stylish layout . Butterflies and birds in abundance and of course the pollinators.
Will definitely be going back . Reasonable priced cafe with seating areas outside by ponds full of water Lilly . Stunning
The cream tea is amazing and the garden where we sat and ate it was really beautiful. A lovely place to spent a few hours
Lovely setting great food and a really good farm shop and of course for the gardener lots of plants
All gardeners like to visit garden centres and nurseries and I am certainly one of them. But there is no doubt in my mind that of the countless number from Scotland to Cornwall that I have seen, none has that certain something that makes Holme unique. I have come to the conclusion that the secret of its success is to place quality as a first requirement in any aspect of the business whether that might be plants, accessories, Orchard Room, shop, advice or staff/customer interface.
Beautiful garden, farm shop, garden centre and cafe. Food was delicious we had lunch a walk around the garden and then a pot of tea with cake. Delicious and a variety including vegan and Gluten Free.
Breakfast is served until 11am on a Sunday. Lunch is from 12 noon.
Worth the little wait. We ordered the paninis and a jacket potato.
The paninis were fresh and tasty and came with a handful of chips for £1 extra. Jacket potato was delicious too, freshly cooked and super crispy!!
Lovely outdoor area with a farm shop and garden centre.
We stopped by this lovely garden centre in Wareham. And it was well worth it. They serve great breakfast. And we sat outside by the pond. So beautiful and peaceful here. We didn't want to leave!
A trip in the wild gardens is a must. But grab a map. There's more to see than you'd think :)
I just love this place, great food, great food, lovely staff, beautiful surroundings, and I love the outdoors, especially around the pond.
Even better when the Sun is out..u could be in Italy or Cyprus!!
Fantastic food with nice service and a lovely setting out by the pond. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. We'll definitely be making a return visit.
What an amazing place. The outside seating is placed around 2 ponds in various sunny or shaded garden settings. The menu is very good in both choice and quality. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming.

It was a loverly warm sunny day at the end of April, the Cafe was fantastic.
Nice Sunday lunch. Shame no yorkshire pudding with the pork but it was tasty.
Varied menu. Good value for money. Beautiful calm surroundings. Great garden centre.
