Wonderful home made gluten free cream tea. A special treat for me as dificult to find this gluten free. Wish I lived closer. Well done. Service was warm & friendly too. Highly recommended.

The Garden Gate Tea Room have just provided the catering for a funeral wake for us. The food was outstanding. Deliciously fresh quiches, sandwiches and outstanding choice of cakes. The photos online and Facebook looked amazing for the afternoon tea and it was perfect!
The staff were welcoming and so polite and really lovely to speak with, the atmosphere and people in the restaurant were all lovely, we had lots of people comment on how good the afternoon tea looked and if you’re thinking of popping in you should definitely try it out. They have lots of other items on the menu; Jacket potato’s, paninis and homemade cakes and scones.
Can’t fault this place at all, thank you so much, can’t wait to come back.

We popped in to hide from the rain and because of the reviews. As good as I thought. Big portions for the money and tasted great. The quiche was clearly freshly made and delicious 😋

Great attention to detail as we sat down with both the table and floor cleaned. Menus were already on the table and the waitress made double sure the order was correct before leaving the table. There was a daily specials board for a more substantial meal but the sandwiches and panini we opted for were excellent and came with a varied side salad and crisps. Overall a great lunch for 4. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Had the soup, hubby had brie, bacon and cranberry panini, both well presented and tasted great, followed by a cream tea, mine was Gluten free and delicious again well presented.

Absolutely wonderful gluten and dairy free cream team! We gave quite short notice of our booking but the amazing owner and his team managed to cater for me, which I appreciate greatly. The best gluten free scone I've ever had, an amazing cake, and some delicious sandwiches - all hand made.
Often gluten free food tastes a bit rubbish but this was truly delicious. You can tell the owner takes pride in his work.

Had an egg mayo sandwich with crisps and side salad. The pot of tea held 3 good cups of tea. I spotted the Dorset Apple cake, I've never tried it in all the years we been coming to Dorset for family visits. Wow, I missed out. Just such a lovely cake and be warned it was a very generous slice. I cut it in half and shall enjoy it later
Popped in on Sunday for lunch after a nice walk along kimmeridge.
Ordered the sausage and mushroom quiche and it was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back for a cream tea next time too.
1st visit and I found the space inside v. pleasant with an outside space as well. Staff were very friendly and I was pleased that instead of my usual teeny-tiny amount of salad with my Baked potato, this café served a decent sized salad. Will definitely be going again.
