Sunday early evening - busy, warned that food would be 45 mins but well worth the wait, potted crab and bruchetta was magnificent. We both had scampi and chips really decent portion, lovely chips. Dessert was salted caramel bar, smashing and cheesecake, slightly too much red berry compote for me but delicious. Staff friendly and helpful, plenty of space around the tables and a non smoking section outside. excellent venue and the live music was an added treat.

We go in here all the time, not to eat but to drink. The bar staff are superb, friendly and helpful. The real ales are changed regularly, my personal favourite is the Ghost Ship but there is always a good, well maintained selection.

Always make an effort to pop in when visiting family. Nice and comfortable inside and out. Perfect setting for sunny days. Always have the sharing platter as it's a nice selection of food, at good value.

I've never been disappointed by the food or the staff. It gets busy on sunny days but that's because it's a great venue. Keep up the good work

Great place for drinks and in idyllic settings. Food is generally good, but have had some not so great roasts . Possibly a change in the kitchen or just an off day. But it's still a great pub . Would recommend

Booked a table, outside, got there early, not a problem. Had fish and chips, and skewers chicken, was served in a timely manner, well presented, polite staff. Food tasted really nice and would definitely recommend Music in background, loud enough to listen to but not overpowering. Third time we’ve been here. Great every time

2 of us went for breakfast this morning and I must say it was absolutely lovely. Hot plate - hot food and you could tell it was good produce. Full English for me and vegetarian for my wife and a lovely pot of tea. Sounds greedy but I can’t wait to come back 🤣 really good service as well. Really could not fault it. Thank you.

Went out to grab some lunch and catch up with a friend. Didn't book and can't fault the friendliness and accommodation of the serving staff. Although extremely busy a table was found for us. Only down side was ordering our food at the bar. There was a male member of staff, for whatever reason wouldn't serve us, even though the girls had indicated that we were waiting. Haven't got the hang of ordering food and drinks through QR codes...but maybe that's the way to order your food and drinks here. Lovely Sunday roast...lots of potatoes... wouldn't have minded some more veg.

Had originally booked a table for inside for a party of 7 people but the forward thinking manager thankfully also reserved a table on the terrace for us and it was so greatly appreciated considering the extreme heat. We had a really lovely evening. The midweek atmosphere was really pleasant and chilled. All the staff were really child friendly which made us feel more relaxed. Drinks were refreshing and menu gave lots of options and catered well for the kids. We left hydrated and well fed. Just wish we gave ourselves more time on a school night but that means we’ll have to visit again soon.

Come here for the first time today for lunch. The pub is very nice inside and has a lovely outdoor terrace which is great in the summer. We had a 3 course set lunch menu. The food was expectional. I opted for the pork belly which melted in my mouth. The presentation of the food was spot on and the overall service was brilliant. I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

I have never been to a pub with lovelier, more welcoming staff than the Waterside Inn in Ware. Ever since new management took over and they changed round the staff, the improvement in atmosphere in the pub is noticeable. You're welcomed as soon as you walk through the door, and everyone is always so friendly and helpful - ordering food or drinks, booking tables etc is as smooth as could be due to the professional manner of the staff. I'd like to give a special recognition to Miranda, Harvey and Harry in particular, who are always up for a chat when they aren't busy attending to other customers/tasks. Even a quick chat with them leaves me with a smile on my face, and of course in terms of serving food/drinks and attending to customers they have never failed to surpass expectations. Truly, it's the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff that make this pub stand out from others in the area. I've been to many pubs/cafes/bars/restaurants and I've never come across any absolute gems like Miranda, Harvey and Harry that have made my experience so great before. I hope management treasures these members of staff as the pub truly wouldn't be the same without them. The drinks and food are always great as well, one of the lovely staff always comes over to check-in and ask if everything is well and if I need anything else - very attentive service. The pub is in a great location, with a really nice garden area right on the river too, plenty of outdoor seating as well as inside. Overall, highly recommend!

Have just spent 3hours in the relaxing atmosphere of the Watrside in Ware. We were welcomed & served by lovely staff who were attentive to details like possible allergies. The food was gorgeous…… very tasty 😋 & well presented. Our server Emma was a delight as she was very professional with a lovely personality throughout. We sat on the terrace which was nice & shady & the ambience was pleasant & relaxed. Just what we needed thank you. 😊

Always a great place for a drink. Great selection of drinks and ales for the CAMRA guys. Emma's service was excellent. She's a lovely, friendly young lady and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Stunning pub and the outside area, by the river is amazing. Staff are lovely and friendly, service was good. In my opinion, all of this is severely let down by the boring, uninspired menu which does not live up to the high standard of the venue. Needs some serious imagination and flair. We chose from the lunch menu, gyoza starter was delicious. The fish sandwich was OK, but 3 small bits of battered cod was not really value for money. Bread was dry in the top, obviously had been kept warm under a heat lamp. It was all served nicely on lovely crockery. Will most definitely be back for drinks, but doubt we would eat here again, at least not until the menu improves. Lots more inspired eateries to choose from in Ware.
