Had a gorgeous afternoon tea today! Lovely choice of sandwiches and cakes absolutely delicious. The service was fab! The staff are lovely! I can’t wait to come again for afternoon tea and to try out the rest of the menu! Thank You xx

A friend of ours recommended this place because she said the cakes were really delicious and so we went to Milady to validate our friend's claims and recommendations.
Boy, we were in for a treat! The cakes (made by Belgique and sold at Milady) are really delicious and it made me crave for more! Personally, the cakes they sell are made with just the right amount of sweetness (nothing over-the-top) and firmness.
Moving on, we went back to try their breakfast lineup (yes, there is a sit-down area for you to enjoy your meal) and again, it did not disappoint.
Kudos to the staff for being friendly and patient.
Definitely a must go-to place for anyone visiting the town of Ware!
One of the volunteers at Scott's Grotto recommended this place to us, and we weren't disappointed. The cakes in the window looked delicious and so inviting. The service was extremely polite and we felt like valued customers, even though this was our first visit. Both the coffee and cake were delicious and everything was served on simple but really good quality crockery.
Everywhere was clean, including the customer toilet, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
It was nearing the end of a quiet Saturday afternoon, so we were able to spend time chatting with the staff, and learning about the history of the building.
Just a shame we don't live nearby as this would become one of our regular haunts.
I was out on a bike ride and in need of a coffee to help me home. This place looked good but didn't really have an outside. A kind member of staff popped their head out of a back window and asked if I needed a coffee and offered to watch my bike. Top service! The coffee was good and I also enjoyed the almond croissant. Thank you 🙏
Came for a waffle with some family for lunch. Not what I was expecting to be honest, but not bad either. Little more crispy than fluffy, if you enjoy that type of waffle don't miss a stop. Coffee is pretty decent too.
I had breakfast here with my mum this morning, and we found it very enjoyable. I’ve been meaning to pop in for ages because of the beautiful cakes displayed out-front and I’m very glad I finally did. We both ordered one of the hot breakfast options, and I have to say I had the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever tried! A lot of places get the Hollandaise wrong, but it was well balanced here, not too lemony. They have delicious English breakfast tea - one of those loose leaf tea bags. The cakes tasted just as exquisite as they looked. The perfect place for breakfast/lunch and a hot drink with cake. Lovey!
Also, the waitresses were wonderful! Very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It was very endearing to hear how many customers they knew by name, and they were having a quick chat with the regulars in-between the extremely attentive service they provided which contributed to such a nice atmosphere in the cafe.
A really nice, ambient tea room, with a nice selection on the menu and friendly staff. I have 2 small gripes - staff didn't know what loose leaf tea was to my astonishment - a must in any decent tea room, and unless you go early, the selection of cakes is limited, which again, is a surprise to see empty shelves. Overall, good
A great little place to sit and relax. I've had breakfast here many times and come here regularly just for coffee and cake. The cakes and pastries are really fresh and delicious.

All 4 of us couldn’t believe the value for money with this afternoon tea, the cakes were soooo good and sandwiches were more of a roll and all well filled!
Staff were so polite and accommodating, highly recommend!

I had previously marked this venue as 5/5 based on service and their exquisite cakes, however, since the refurb, they no longer allow pushchairs in so I feel very unwelcome and have had to take my business elsewhere.

The afternoon tea for two is lovely. Great sandwiches and excellent cake selection. Would recommend. Middle price range. There's space in the front to have babies and pushchair and there is a baby change unit. Wonderful coffee. Staff always nice and friendly.

I booked to come for afternoon tea with a friend on Friday 17th November. My friend is gluten free, I emailed ahead asking if this would be possible. Well, when we arrived they had gone above and beyond what I thought they would do. We both had a delicious selection of rolls, scones and cakes. Not only did it look fabulous it was delicious too.
The staff are friendly and exceptionally professional. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend afternoon tea however they had so many lovely things on the menu and everything we saw going to other tables looked fantastic. I feel I found a little hidden gem in ware !!

Lovely place. We have been there many times, always nice and friendly welcome. And the food is just amazing.
Cakes, smoothies, sandwiches.. everything is a top quality! Challenge is to decide what to choose, such a big selection of cakes, tried all of them, every cake is tasty, so tempting.
I also like that often there are new Italian things to try (cantucci are the best).
We love that cosy little place and always bring our friends and family here when they come to visit us. Lunches are cooked very well, everything is fresh. Our experience was never below "the best".

spent very pleasant hot sunny Sunday afternoon in the air conditioned tea house after a walk along to Dr from Broxbourne. their real mixed berry fruit tarts were exceptionally good with plane ice cream and English breakfast tea - would highly recommend to all visitors to delightful Were by the New River!!
Excellent service. Wow. Good caffe and tasty food. Love this place . Will come back
