Wonderful pub. Lunched there today , did not book ( they prefer bookings as it gets busy) welcomed in , and had a great lunch, efficient, friendly, super food and good beer, all in a wonderful atmosphere and in a beautiful village. Well worth a visit , (as there is precious little in nearby Wantage)

Good menu with plenty of choices and all the food we ordered was freshly-prepared and excellent quality. Friendly and pleasant staff looked after us well . There's a good range of wines, beers and ciders, too.
We love sitting outside on a sunny evening after walk around village with Oscar the Springer. Great drinks range, excellent quality food and always a warm welcome.
I went there for dinner and I was surprised by a very nice menu with many options. I had the pie, which was delicious.

Fantastic gastro pub with a gorgeous garden, lovely super fresh tasty food, good wines and they do a different menu every day ! Really nice staff who are attentive and provide a great service making the experience more enjoyable. Recommend and will definitely return soon!
Friendly welcome, cheerful, efficient table service. We went for midday lunch. The food was of the finest quality and very well presented. Exceptional: will visit again. Recommend booking in advance.

A high quality service in a village pub of character, with superb food. Front of house staff couldn't be more polite and friendly without intruding. A wonderful place for a birthday meal.
