Hollandaise sauce is so delicious the egg is gowy and cooked in professionalism
The boulangerie has many other varieties that i had previously I don't think i took pictures but i had their salads they are very unique and taste different from the usual options.
They have Quiche vegetarian and meat
They have cakes and sweets with lots of options
Orange juice is freshly squeezed and always sweet not sugar added
Variety of paninis available
Lovely atmosphere
Staff are helpful and very friendly

This cheerful and unaffected cafe’ offers a versatile selection including crepes, ciabattas, salads and the more familiar staples including vegan options.
Presentation, portion and price unlikely to be faulted.

I asked for the egg white to be cooked so there was no slimy white, I’m glad that this request was met in my eggs florentine order. I was expecting more flavour in the hollandaise sauce but I was still pleased with the dish as a whole. They were generous with the amount of sauce. I got apple and orange juice but could mainly taste carrots, I mixed it with my friend’s fresh juice which included orange. This did the trick and balanced out the juice and I was satisfied. I’ve been to fancier places which have had bad french toast, this did not disappoint. I was glad I ordered the french toast which satisfied my sweet craving, generous amount of maple syrup and tasty fruit balanced the toast. As it wasn’t busy, the chef said she could make me these breakfast items at 5pm. She was lovely and friendly. The place is child friendly with a small corner for children to play in, with toys and even a chalk board. I have been past the place many times, and was surprised to see it was bigger inside than I thought as it goes further down with more seating. The back area was slightly cold.

I came with my daughter. Excellent service and a really tasty French crépe with strawberries, bananas, maple syrup and Greek yoghurt. Great value as well. I came back again today and had the most amazing pastries and a really tasty tomato, aubergine and mozzarella toasted ciabatta.
Strange reviews - one extreme to another but on my personal visit I found all the staff extremely friendly, food was delicious and well presented. We were even offered tiny taster pizza ( It was yummy, we will certainly try that next time, great idea) customers on nearby tables also liked the little tasters and were impressed as it got us all talking about it. I just have to add that the floor tiling and bathroom sink is impressive too 😄 Thanks guys well done. Looking forward to visiting again.

The breakfast is delicious, and the atmosphere is so worm… i like this place!!
When I was in this area last time, I decided I “give a bite “ to them. I did it. (… as you can see in the first picture.) It was not as exceptional as you expect, after you saw the shop window 🤔… anyway, what is really promising and I am sure you want to go inside (… just I did) and taste it.
… but do not listen me. Check their menu and try something for your own experience.
Absolutely superb. The food was lovely, the service beyond perfect, the place relaxing and well decorated. I must say that the Australian waiter went an extra mile to accommodate our needs, so thank you. We enjoyed our brunch and we will come back soon :) Thank you all again for your wonderful job!
What a lovely cafe! After our big walk around the bluebells we really fancied some easy lunch. We were not disappointed! Coffee was great, so was all the food: eggs royale, scrambled eggs with avocado and the panini. We’ll be definitely back!
I always enjoy my visits to Barrel Boulangerie. It’s always a friendly atmosphere and service, the food is always excellent quality, and reasonable prices.
This is definently the best cafe in wanstead! Staff are really lovely and friendly and always have a smile on their faces, and the food is delicous too! The barrel club is my go to! Atmosphere is great and food comes quite quickly too. Their salad is amazing (something to do with that fantastic dressing!)

Visited this place today for breakfast. Very tasty and the breakfast options were all halal which we were glad to hear. Went early morning so we were the only customers for a while. Also the place was very clean and staff were friendly. Will definitely return.
