We enjoyed a delicious meal with our family in this very friendly, bustling new restaurant. The pig's face on toast was sublime and was perfectly accompanied by the robust house red. I had to fend my children off with a fork to keep any of my courgette chips to myself. We were fascinated by the idea of the bombette themselves and they certainly did not disappoint - full of rich flavours and really filling. The service was great and our waiter Jamie really knew his way around the menu and gave us lots of helpful suggestions. The restaurant has a really vibrant atmosphere which is matched by the striking design touches like the amazing lights and artwork.
Delicious food. Great quirky interior. Excellent service with friendly staff. Cheese platter and multiple plates eaten and all were fabulous. The bombettes were excellent. The outdoor terrace is coming along nicely and will be an added bonus once finished. We will be back! Thank you �
Amazing hidden treasure. Been meaning to pop in for years but never did until this evening. So happy we did! Beautiful, atmospheric place and Jose was a perfect host. Great cheese, lovely wine...we will be back soon to try the bombettas! Loved it! :-)

Popped in for the first time with my husband last night on a rare child free evening... and what a treat it was... the food (and interior design) is gorgeously delicious... particularly recommend the spicy bombette and the mozzarella with honey and orange... so yummy I was drooling... it's not really a starter and a main sort of menu... more like a meze or tapas, you'll want to try a few different plates... none of the portions are that large... it's definitely about flavour over quantity... great relaxed atmosphere... Can't wait for our next visit.

This place is a little gem. Very convenient just by the tube and super cosy inside. Plus the food was scrummy. I'm been there a couple of times and its worth booking ahead to get a table.

Bombetta is a cozy and comfortable way to experience the best kind of Italian cuisine – from the Puglia region. The entire interior of Bombetta is cozily lit and filled with furniture and decor that fit the classy vibe. Between the leather seating, neon signs, and elegant glassware, this restaurant takes the cake for beautiful interior design. Once you enter, you feel as if you are in a timeless restaurant that has withstood the test of time. The staff at Bombetta are as friendly as the atmosphere, they were quick to pull out menus and offer me recommendations from their long list of desirable choices.
To start off, I had to try the grilled watermelon. Grilling an already sweet fruit only intensifies its delicious flavors. It was a great way to start my samples from Bombetta. Next, I moved on to the wild boar speck. This flavorful meat was cured to tender perfection and marinated with a delightful sauce. The spices came alive as I ate each piece of succulent meat. Another wild, flavorful treat was the pig’s head bruschetta. It tasted vastly different than the wild boar speck, yet had the same wonderful tenderness as the previous meat.
Next, I moved on to try one the famous Bombette - pork with spicy pancetta, scamorza, nduja, and basil – it was an explosion of flavours and spices. Needless to say, this dish was my favourite with an added spicy bite to it that packed a punch. To end the night, I went with the strawberry and mascarpone semifreddo, balsamic for dessert. This treat was sweet, cold, and creamy. It was everything I could want in a dessert! It was a perfect way to end my meal at Bombetta.
Bombetta is a classy restaurant with great, perfectly crafted dishes. Anyone who eats at Bombetta will be treating themselves to a night full of delicious foods and good company.
Visited Bombetta for the first time this evening. An outstanding meal, with tasty wine and attentive + friendly service. I walk past this every day on my way to + from work and am so glad that we were curious enough to try it. Gorgeous Italian cuisine, served with passion and care.
I came here yesterday with my family as they are visiting us from home and we decided to go to this Italian restaurant for first time.
Even though I'm local I never actually came here before and I must say that I was surprised to see how nice it's inside, how friendly the staff was and how well thought the dishes are.
Food menu is very elaborated and you got many choices to choose from. We ordered around 5-6 dishes to share them all.
In general, all of them were very nice and tasty, specially the tuna tartare, spicy bombetta pork, burrata, and the chicory!
However, sadly not all of us enjoyed the risotto that much and we found it a bit flavourless.
Staff was very friendly at all the time! They did their best to accommodate us and we're very patience with our little one.
Bear in mind that it's quite expensive for wanstead standards.
I'll definitely go back for a drink and nibbles, next time with no kids though so we can enjoy some drinks.

Great quality ingredients make this menu. The friendly, sincere service got it to 5 🌟 Enough selection to have your favourites and still have things to try next time. Relaxed, fun, vibrant atmosphere in an unexpected location (close to home, which couldn't be better!) The bombetta was the 💣 💥 🎯. Duck breast with puy lentils cooked perfectly pink. I don't eat fish but when it arrived, I even tasted the sea bass which was filleted on request and delicious. The truffle and porcini fresh pasta (the chef brought us this as a compliment) was quite simple but delicious! I could have eaten the whole lot to myself. The steak in barolo needed a little extra seasoning to my taste, but good quality. The barratta could have been a little more generous as we were sharing, but again, we liked it. The choice of wine was good and really enjoyed the one we had from Puglia. Traditional Italian restaurant serving dishes as you would expect but also traditional street food from the region of Puglia. Service and staff were outstanding. The restaurant decor is stylish modern but a relaxing chiled out ambiance, especially in the evening when the lights are dim.
There is 2 dinning areas the main area for parties of 4 or more then a side "hut" for parties of 2. This is better if you want an intimate less distracting meal with a friend or partner but can get cold in winter I assume due to the blankets that are available.
The menus is made up of 4 main categories. Bites or starters which are small dishes. Shared plates you get a little more and order a few if you are not having a main dish. Bombetta - traditional Italian cured meats with cheese. Grills - main dishes. Everything on the menu was delicious without exception!
The wine list is good but this can add up quickly to your total bill so have a drink before hand if you are feeling thirsty!
All in all this is a hidden gem in the area and we'll worth a visit. I'll definitely come back to try other items on the menus as it all looked and tasted delicious!
Tasty unique food and great service (altho as it was early we were the only diners), defo worth the price! Wonderfully fresh food, never had anything like it (bombetta) anywhere else even though we have been to Italy a few times and various Italian restaurants. I went for the veal bombetta, which was salty, but that suited me just fine.
Esp loved the choc brownie and salted caramel ice cream dessert combo!
Will defo revisit.
I always wanted to try this place out and got the chance to go last night, managed to get booking the same day. I must say the food and service was great. Loved the concept of sharing all meals including mains. Great cocktails too! Will definitely be going back!

Plenty of vegetarian options and roasts on sundays. Cheeses are phenomenal and the big bertha is good value and plenty for 4 but lots of meat.
Can't wait to go back and try the other things on the menu.

This tiny neighbourhood restaurant boasts a homely feel. It’s location is perfectly ideal. The food was their greatest asset after my partner and I indulged ourselves in a magnificent Saturday date night dinner. The waiters rotated consistently ensuring we we taken care of. The win was magnificent. It was a treat and we will certainly be returning.

Great menu with emphasis on good produce, well executed by the kitchen and simply delicious. A relaxed, 'grazing' style dinner and every mouthful wonderful. We came for my Boyfriend’s Birthday - he felt like he was in Italy! The team are so extremely welcoming, the perfect Italian hosts. The menu is vast, covering vegetarian options, meat and fish. Everything was absolutely delicious. Generous portions - we have leftovers! We will definitely be returning, and also visiting their other two restaurants in the area. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
What a lovely experience. Best restaurant in Wanstead/Snaresbrook and we’ve tried them all. Can’t wait to go back. We will be taking our extended family this summer. The staff were so attentive with us and our baby. The food was amazing. We got a starter, middle course pasta, Bombetta and dessert because the food was so tasty. Definitely recommend.
We are regulars at it's sister restaurant Arte e pasta in Walthamstow so thought we would give this gem a try. The staff where very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. You must try the Bombetta a signature dish, but I must say not my favourite on the menu. The anti pasti was very good. The pasta dishes to follow where much better than it's sister restaurant. Sorry guys but Snaresbrook wins hands down. We had the whole chicken between 6 of us and it was actually to much with what we had ordered before hand. But guess what. We still made room for dessert. The Affogato with Amereto was my favourite but my friends all love the and rave on about the Tiramisu. As always a great selection of wines. We settled for several carafes of the red Asti which is reasonably priced for a litre carafe. All in all a very enjoyable evening. Keep up the good work all... Walthamstow be warned, you need to up your game a bit 🤣
Always a great experience to dine in this amazing restaurant. It’s a must once a month for us for a lovely treat.
Don’t miss out the orange, chili and anchovies as small bites, it’s super delicious. And the spicy bombetta is a must.
