We liked it a lot and spoke to regular guests that knew the place. We had the set menu for 2 and liked it (faced is to choose too). The atmosphere is modern but informal. We had the impression that the dishes were not so spicy which makes them easy for everybody. On the menu were more spicy dishes though if you'd like it. I regretted a bit that the popadum was not offered as a welcome snack. But it makes sense to have it as a choice, the portions are generous...
Extremely good food and service with some interesting special dishes worth trying. Average portion sizes and prices. Pleasant interior with bright, modern decor and open-fronted kitchen. A good place to try if youʼre in the area.
N.B. On-street parking in the immediate vicinity is extremely difficult and the tariff at the nearby public car park applies 24/7 (not exactly a help to local businesses).
Best tarka dal I've had in a long time. All the grub tasted really fresh and not the usual 'been sitting around for a while ' dishes sometimes experienced in Indian restaurants. The service was slow, hence 4 stars rather than 5
We have just enjoyed a meal, that was evidently freshly cooked. I particularly love the fresh ginger in the Katmondu dish. It was flavoursome and nicely presented, and not swimming in oil as so many curries do. I would visit Akash again.
My Family And I Have Recently Moved To The Area And My Dad Celebrated His Birthday Here Tonight. I Can Honestly Say That This Is One Of The BEST Restaurants That I Have EVER Eaten At. I Am An Extremely STRICT Vegetarian, And I Therefore Find It Difficult To Dine Out. However, AKASH Went Above And Beyond My Expectations With A HUGE Variety On The Menu For Vegetarians. It Is SO Rare To Actually Have A CHOICE! The Staff Are Professional, Smart And Extremely Caring, Constantly Making Sure That We Were Enjoying Our Meals. Not Only That, But They Were Kind Enough To Provide A BEAUTIFUL Birthday Cake For My Dad, Bringing It Out Completely Unexpectedly! My Dad's First Birthday In Our New Home Town Was Very Special... All Thanks To Him Having A LOVELY Time At AKASH. Thankyou! I Would Recommend This Place To Anyone!
Fast friendly service. Very pleasant decor. Have used every visit to Walton and never had a bad meal here. Food is always great.
Service was absolutely amazing. We ordered the lamb madras with some of the best lamb I've had. Their keema naan was brilliant. I would highly recommend.
