Amazing roast dinner ! And lovely service from Chloe, she was so attentive and quick to answer any of our questions. The garden is beautiful and we really loved the small secluded room to enjoy our dinner! Definitely recommend popping in for a roast dinner and some cheeky drinks !

Beautiful pub and huge garden- was really nice to sit out and enjoy the sun. I had the Sunday Roast beef which was a quite a big portion and very tasty. If I were to make one suggestion that would be to make the roast potatoes more crispy. Fish and chips were good too. Probably worth booking on a Sunday

Booked a large family party. Pre ordered food choices because of the number of guests. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was served together. Quality of the food was generally good. Although the desert cheese board had only brie where I thought there would be a selection, the sharing meats board lacked butter, and the ceasar salad was missing anchovies. Overall, everyone enjoyed the day.

Although we have lived in Walton on the Hill for 2 years we have not been to the Chequers before. May I say what a most pleasant surprise my wife and I had. The ambiance, beers, and wine selection by the glass was excellent. Our food was simple but delightful, well flavoured, hot and nicely presented. A most pleasant village pub experience, consequently I booked a table for 6 in one of their chalets in the garden for the 6 Nations rugby! Russell Bracegirdle

Best pub and restaurant in the area !! The epitome of the proper English "Pub" but so much more ! Well set out with different areas to sit / cozy nooks with roaring fires / excellent food and good selection of drinks. Dogs allowed and wonderful to see them accompanying their owners for a night out. Welcoming staff and always helpful.

This place is quintessentially British countryside. We went with friends who live in the area and loved the quaint decor. The service was great, food was tasty and was served in nice portions. It was chilly and wet when we were there, but they have a lovely garden with lots of tables for the summertime.

Didn't eat so can't give a score. Everything else was really good. Had a quiz going on which is popular. Plenty of seating indoors and out.
