Stopped by this restaurant 2 years ago and I didn't liked the food. Went back there August 18,2017 and I was so impressed.They literally changed the menu. I had jerk salmon with rice & peas and it was so delicious. My friend had the curried goat and she loved it. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
The best place to have great tasting food in walthemstow, I highly recommend,and will definitely eat here again whilst I'm working down here.

Was about to go someplace else near Walthamstow but on our way to the venue, Turtle bay caught my attention and luckily we didn't regret it. I am a sucker for restaurants with good interior decor and Turtle bay is brilliant in that case. Now the main things, food, quality and price- in my opinion three of them are up to the mark. They have set lunch menus that include two courses for 13 GBP and three courses for 15 GBP which are perfect for lunches on a budget. Apart from that, the drinks and other dishes are pretty reasonable as well. We ordered pit prawns and curry prawn from the a la carte menu and jerk pit wings and brown chicken stew from the set lunch menu and the flavor and quality was amazing along with a really good quantity. Besides that, the staffs were very friendly and welcoming. However, the restaurant says that its Caribbean but as I am not really familiar with authentic Caribbean food, I can't really assure whether the dishes are authentic or not as I found it very similar to Indian dishes (but most probably that's what it is meant to be). But if you are not really fussy about the authenticity then this place is a must visit.
Food amazing , price reasonable , staff very friendly and helpful . We celebrated my sons 5month birthday there and the waiter was so cool playing with him grabbing his attention and smile for us to make nice pictures . Im so angry on myself I don't remember his name to let you all know ! It was nice experience being in turtle bay and I'll definitely go there again . Love xxx

Great service - getting quite popular (took a while to book a reservation, but just shows how good it is)! The food portions were huge especially for the price you pay (cheap as chips) the rums were quite good for aged rums. Piña colada was stronger then I'm used to!
Delicious food, great happy hour drinks, great vibe, great music. Service could be slightly more prompt, the waitresses seemed a little inexperienced albeit apologetic.

Hmmmm,, really really nice area with positive vibes all night long.
I loved the way the restaurant was presented and loved the warm Caribbean theme. I arrived just after sunset and we booked the seats outside.. The breeze the music the lights.. Was just too much! (That side was amazing nd quiet the experience) now, however, I didn't like the food. Like, it weren't intense? Do I make sense? I mean Caribbean,, when I think Caribbean I expect Caribbean.. The vibes yes they delivered but as for food and quality it was mediocre.
Poor waiters I felt they were tortured by the customers they weren't as confident and didn't know the menu that well.. But they were still friendly and funny. I ordered the shrimp and mango pot. It was so cute how the actual dish was in a pot it had a cute Caribbean vibe to the look and smell of the dish but for the actual tasting ,, I just didn't feel it? It was bland. I didn't even taste the mango and I'm a BIGGG fan of mango so that was quiet disappointing 😩 meh.
BAHT overall,, I'd definitely go back and visit but this time I'd order something different and actually instruct them to emphasis on a certain ingredient lol

I love the atmosphere at Turtle Bay great music love the cocktails (Happy hour is wonderful). The staff there are great. Hannah was really nice, friendly and very helpfull. Melody and ANZ were also very helpful and friendly.

Food is lovely. They have a nice vegan selection. Drinks are great, especially happy hours, which is 241. They offer a huge selection of drinks and some very tasty mocktails. You can get very crowded and noisy between customers and the music but a great place for food and drink if you want to sit down with the girls or some mates and have a proper natter.
Great restaurant. Quick service from our waiter Lukas. They have an allergen menu where I could search for gluten free dishes, and everything was tasty. I had the jackfruit sunshine bowl. There's even happy hour cocktails! What's not to like?
I love coming here because the staff are great especially Roxy and Hannah. They are so accommodating to me and my daughter. They made us feel so comfortable. Roxy in particular is very sweet, i can see she is a hard worker and she is defo here for the customers. She walks around to make sure the customers are all good. The bartender is also very lovely and the drinks were on point but i have to give it up to Roxy. Big up yourself Roxy!!!!

He knows how to handle any situations.
He's a lovely guy and recommend his service.
Rob the security is a very cool guy, there was a situation where both Rob and Jack was handling very well and I appreciate both their customer service and safety skills when needed.
Lukas gave us an exceptional service really lovely and very friendly and welcoming. Pauleta was really efficient with the drink second time coming here this week alone. Me an my partner loved it definitely coming here again
Hannah saw my daughter and I as soon as we entered the restaurant and was making her way to welcome us. Roxy was very professional and informative, Denis made us lovely drinks! There were several vegan options for myself so was very happy. Thanks all!

Only went for small plates starters and a few cocktails.
No parking on site but you can park in the 24 hour car park across the road in the shopping centre or spend £10 in Asda and get free parking.
Gabi and Hannah were our servers and they were absolutely amazing!! We never had an empty glass, they were always so quick to serve and so kind whilst doing so! Their attitudes were great, the drinks were amazing& food was delicious! This is our 4th time visiting this branch and i don’t think we will ever go to a different location! Amazing service Gabi and Hannah deserve the praise! Many thanks!

I have been to Turtle Bay Walthamstow a few times and I have always enjoyed my food. Chains like this will always be criticised for "cultural appropriation" but I don't necessarily see it, I can understand the criticism however and I don't dismiss it. Is the food authentic, I would say it is, I've always enjoyed what I have eaten here and on this occasion I wasn't disappointed.
My food came out in a timely manner, and the service I received was very good. The food is really good, I'm sure it'll never be as good as back home, but it is close enough. I left with my belly full, and even when I got home I didn't want to eat anything more. I would say it is reasonably priced for what you get.
Would I recommend, yes I would recommend, because you will have good food with hopefully good company and music playing in the background, I would probably lower the volume of the music just a tad, but whenever a tune that reminds you of your childhood comes on you want it turned up, so it's a double edged sword there.
Definitely check it out, I don't think you will be disappointed.
