Stumbled on this place by accident. Didn't think it was the type of pub I would like to go into, but was pleasantly surprised.
No frills place, the establishment is very big, it's quite long and wide, lots of places to sit sit, it's split on two levels, I didn't go upstairs. There were small childr
Food was a bargain, got 2 cod and chips @ £2.50 each!( For me and my daughter)...I've never been a fan of waiting at the bar always seems unorganised, but that's the only downside (normal for the setting though) quick service, good outdoor space, cheap drinks. Clean enough.
Busy service on a Friday afternoon but the food still wasn't delayed for two long. Good crispy batter on the large portion of fish. The mayo had a split, off look to it, but it's not the pub's fault as the bottle I had wasn't opened before, it was sealed. I kept away from it anyway. Other than that,
Been going here a while and the food I get everytime is the buffalo wings with chips. Me and my dad get wings and chips for 8.14 each and a drink for about 1.50 so its a very cheap meal for 2 people under £20! Always go back. Had cod and chips before and burger and chips but always go back to wings
Lovely atmosphere, great food (steak was cooked perfectly) reasonably priced too
Lovely pub, fantastic decor lots of history, books there if you get bored.had egg Benedict was lovely, get a few unsavoury characters( the locals )just ignore them, drinks are cheap give it 10 out 10 best pub in the area.
Had a lovely breakfast this morning, great service from the staff, 5 star all the way from me, definitely recommend and such great value for money. Very clean & welcoming. Was really impressed with the garden area to.
Had a few drinks here with some colleagues, lovely pub with a well-kept outdoor area in the back and friendly staff.
Decent Spoons pub in a quiet part of town. Lots if outdoor seating and a good range of ales at the usual cheap prices.

Standard for Wetherspoons. Nice Real Ale, good selection of lagers, nice meal.
Went with mates for couple of pints nice place, great look inside. Good place to go
