Lovely pub, fantastic decor lots of history, books there if you get bored.had egg Benedict was lovely, get a few unsavoury characters( the locals )just ignore them, drinks are cheap give it 10 out 10 best pub in the area.

Food was a bargain, got 2 cod and chips @ £2.50 each!( For me and my daughter)...I've never been a fan of waiting at the bar always seems unorganised, but that's the only downside (normal for the setting though) quick service, good outdoor space, cheap drinks. Clean enough.

Been going here a while and the food I get everytime is the buffalo wings with chips. Me and my dad get wings and chips for 8.14 each and a drink for about 1.50 so its a very cheap meal for 2 people under £20! Always go back. Had cod and chips before and burger and chips but always go back to wings and chips. Don't hate the others but I prefer the wings!

Had a lovely breakfast this morning, great service from the staff, 5 star all the way from me, definitely recommend and such great value for money. Very clean & welcoming. Was really impressed with the garden area to.
