A little gem of a pub. Very nice period interior and really nice pint. The sort of pub that I wish was my local. The new landlord is nice fella that was generous with the dog biscuits.
Thoroughly recommend 😁 🍺
A brilliant traditional pub set within a quiet village in Norfolk that we return to year on year on holiday. The landlady and staff were all very helpful and attentive and I highly recommend this place as a friendly pub and great place to eat. Dog friendly and family friendly too. Just superb!
We liked our stay overall. Good location, nice village close to the sea side. Large bedrooms great for families like us with 2 kids. Bed was small, not a king. Did not realised that there was no food facilities at all on Sunday past lunch time which was a bit of a bummer. The breakfast on the other hand was great. Great service and quality. Be aware there is not parking at the hotel and you will need to park in the village carpark at £7 per day.
We had a lovely lunch here after arriving on the train from Wells. Very nice Sunday roast, delicious desserts and gluten free option too.
Two nights here last week, we had a great stay. Good owner and team and a great breakfast each morning. By chance the restaurant wasn't open the two night we were there (Sun/Mon) but no doubt the food would have been great based on the great breakfasts we had. The room was comfortable and the location is obviously perfect for Walsingham but lots to do all around. We were on a rest day on a 9 days Norfolk cycle tour and the train to Wells and the local bus service, even on a Sunday, were just outside the pub door. All very good.
Delicious food, welcoming and calm atmosphere, wonderful quaint decor, just fabulous. I had the sausage and mash and it was lush, my friend had the mushroom risotto and that was also delicious. Would highly recommend. Just what you need after a visit to see the snowdrops.
Stayed for the night. Room good size and bed comfortable. Staff very polite and friendly. Greeted by Ashley who gave us the procedure of what to do incase of a fire. This was pleasing to know as most hotels just expect you to read the literature in the room. Please to know safety comes first. Well done to Angela for outstanding service and a lovely breakfast would come again.
A welcoming and pleasant pub in the heart of a characterful village. Good service. Good breakfast. Pubby evening menu. Minimal/zero parking but some options out of hours or close by.
Popped in on the off chance of a simple lunch. We were fortunate and got a table, it filled up soon after. We ended up having a decent lunch. Sandwiches all round were very nice and with excellent bread. The accompanying side salad was fresh. Landlord seemed like a nice chap also.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I don't have words to express my experience.
From Billy cleaning the outside, every single morning, to Dave (the Manager) and the fantastic waitresses.
Just impossible to be real. The quality of the food and the service, the atmosphere, and I can keep writing, and writing.
This was one of the BEST experiences I had since 2003 (the year I arrived England, and I have been travelling a lot on this beautiful Country).
The B&B or Pub or Restaurant or Hotel... are all on the same historic building, looks like a puzzle, a maze, Just OUTSTANDING.
I AM so privileged for staying for two nights on this imaginary place.
