Tried here after hearing about it from a friend. Definitely wasn't what I was expecting but left so happy! Staff were really friendly and the food was great. Had the three course meal with the pizza and the three course taster meal between three of us, love the fact you get a bit of each dish on the taster menu! Can't wait to go again and try the next menu!

Just got back from a night out and felt compelled to write a review. We arrived and were warmly welcomed by Gio. The restaurant was decor was quirky. The whole staff were friendly. The menu was explained and the food followed shortly afterward. All the food was fabulous and I can honestly say that it was the best lasagne I have ever had. I didn't want to stop eating the pudding either �. It is by far the best kept secret in walsall. I will definitely be returning......soon x

What an amazing little gem this place is we came Saturday night for a hen party staff so welcoming food out of this world the warm bread and meatballs are to die for . Owner Gio is a lovely friendly man who had time to explain the menu and get feedback I will definitely be recommending you to everyone and I will be back soon with my family I think you may need to sort me out a loyalty card thank you for being amazing x

Wow! What a place! Had no idea that this little Gem of a restaurant existed until last night. My lovely friend had organised a Hen night for me and booked this beautiful place! Not sure what to say if I'm honest, no amount of words can be enough to say how amazing it is. Food was out of this world! Had the taster menu and had all sorts from meatballs to lasagne to pizza! Thank you so much Gio and your lovely team for making my Hen Night an amazing one with plenty of delicious food � will definitely be recommending you to everyone I know and will be making plenty of return visits! �

Service was fantastic tonight, the food was amazing - and so reasonably priced. Came away full and contented, with the intention of definitely going again. Can’t recommend enough. Brilliant work to the team at Gio’s.

6 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children went here for my mom's birthday meal. Mom chose the place as she's been here before. I wasn't sure what to expect from her description so I checked on here before leaving work. I have never seen so many 5 star reviews and hoped it lived up to the hype. We arrived at 7:30pm after driving through a pleasant housing estate. The premises are located on the ground floor of a community centre, next to the gym. The illuminated GIOS sign was the only clue. Upon entering, we saw 4 other tables were occupied, with 12-14 other patrons. The interior decor was unusual, with countless pieces of artwork, movie posters, and unusual items with an Italian theme. The tables and chairs are all different shapes and sizes, but this just adds to the charm of the place. Within a minute, Gio emerged from the kitchen with a warm welcome. We sat down and opened the drinks we had bought with us, the place is not licenced. Soon, we had ordered the taster menu for the adults and the youngsters had pizza. First we had a lovely, fresh vegetable soup, with cold meats, a crustless quiche and lovely warm bread. Not long after, Gio, who was the only waiter, came out with the kids pizzas. Freshly made and delicious, and about 12" of thin crust. Then he bought out 2 large lasagne, 2 large plates of a pasta dish with courgette, 2 plates of plain chicken thighs and breast on a salad with crispy chicken skin, 2 plates of another spicier chicken with skin, on a bed of delicious herby potatoes, and an Italian casserole with sausage and meatballs in a tomato sauce. Food was plentiful and delicious. Gio packed the leftovers up as there was a lot of food, all made fresh in the premises. We then had a chat as Gio served everyone else, without looking stressed and being so friendly and polite with everyone. He also gives a carafe of water and a carafe of juice to each table. Italian music playing, he then produced a dessert with was like a warm brownie, with thick, clotted cream, a fruity drizzle and an amaratto biscotti on top. The ladies and gents are located next door where you walk through a healing centre, with chairs creating a walkway to keep you from the various equipment. As I said, the kitchen and restaurant is in a shared community centre. I was told profits go to local homeless, and it's clear from the decoration that Gio does a lot for local charities. Mom picked up the bill of £13.50 a head (massive value) and Gio said the kids were only a fiver, but mom asked him to keep the rest which he eventually did after some persuasion. When the main rustic Italian tasters were served, Gio also served two more fresh pizzas at no cost, which he says they always do for larger groups. I have plenty of leftovers to take to work today, and we all left full after the kids plated the piano and Gio and an older customer danced in the restaurant. Three pots of fresh coffee to finish. A lovely place, beautiful fresh food, amazing value and it serves the local community. Great job, Gio!

Big thank you to Gio and all his staff, we had a fabulous night celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. Night was perfect, food fantastic and atmosphere great. Also thanks to Andy aka Brains for Breakfast who did a marvelous job with entertainment. Would recommend this venue every time.

We don't normally go out for a meal on Valentine's Day, as the food is usually overpriced and the service is poor but when we knew that Gio was opening for Valentine's, we had no hesitation in booking. The welcome from Gio and Gabri is always warm and the food, as ever, was excellent and fantastic value for money. Thank you both for yet another lovely evening, see you soon, Lin & Rob xx

We have had a group meal and the chef bought out a selection of meals and pizzas for all. Pizzas were authentic in style and full of flavour and the mains were very tasty. Quaint little place with an odd layout but the food and service was faultless. Will definitely come back! 19 people ate at 1 table!

Lovely place, we were made to feel so welcome! The food is excellent - freshly cooked and plenty of it. They do a set price for a starter, a main (consisting of either a pizza or four different little portions of various delicious dishes), a dessert and a pot of fresh coffee. Vegetarian option available, with no problems whatsoever regarding making small changes to the dishes to suit your taste. Quirky yet homely place and you reel right at home and Gio was quite happy to chat to us after the meal about various cooking tips. We didn't feel rushed and will most certainly going back again. A hidden gem of a place.

Great food and so reasonable. We were a large party of 21 and they managed to serve us all together. Lovely staff and owner. Highly recommend this place.

Gio hosted my 50th birthday meal and yet again delivered superb food. Service is always excellent and the guys work their socks off to deliver a fantastic experience. Can't praise enough!!

Fantastic food, friendly and welcoming, we will definitely be visiting again to try out more tasting menus which are updated every 4/5 weeks, great value for money, loved the quirky interior.
