Recommended by one of our clients who lives nearby, this is a lovely little café with deliciously cooked local produce and excellent coffee, all in a beautifully quiet secluded setting. Highly recommended!

You have absolutely got to go to this wonderful cafe - it's a beautiful barn full of fairy lights and very happy people serving lots of cake and coffee! They also do very nice lunch snacks. Everyone is welcome, including new mum's with lots of prams! A place to feed the babies. 🐕 that been on walks with their owners, muddy boots and all!₩

Living locally in we decided to finally visit The Cartshed after having some promotional material put through our door some time ago. Online booking was simple with confirmation received instantly. Parking simple - JUST FOLLOW THE SIGNS. Seems some on here have been confused .....?! We arrived at 09:30 and were offered choice of tables by a friendly host so we sat by the window. Ordering process was explained along with the need to fill out the track and trace forms. Good amount of options on the menu to choose from for the time of day. My wife choose the vegetarian breakfast and I had the full Oxfordshire but asked for no tomato add an extra mushroom which was fine. Drinks were a tea, coconut sorbet smoothie and a double espresso all of which arrived prior to the food. Food arrived around 15 minutes after ordering which is perfectly acceptable. On the full Oxfordshire the beans and mushrooms were cold so I informed a waitress. Apologies were given and a fresh breakfast prepared in good time so no issues with the way they handled the complaint. Both meals were tasty with portion sizes just about right for the price given the obvious quality of the ingredients. Although half a mushroom per person is a bit tight ....... A mushroom doesn't cost that much. My wife was very impressed with her breakfast apart from there being a bit of the cooking water from the poached egg on the plate which made it all a little wet (very minor point though). Brown sauce AMAZING - I've just ordered some online. A lovely buzz in the barn, very smiley floor staff who were engaging with customers naturally. A member of staff (Marilyn Monroe look) was particularly friendly and took time out to give our 5 month old daughter some attention which was lovely. This is obviously a family friendly location but we saw singles, adult groups and families all enjoying their time. Some constructive feedback - # Serve a whole mushroom per person. Given the price, 1/2 a mushroom a little mean. # Put an up to date menu online, your website is your shop window. Especially if your main menu is fixed. We may have visited at a different time had we been able to see the full range of options for lunch online. No excuse for not having an up to date menu in this day and age. # Loose leaf tea on the menu would indicate it is proper loose leaf tea served in the correct manner. Perhaps change the description to loose leaf tea bag? # Take a look at the tap position in the toilet. Its very close to the edge of the sink making hand washing a little awkward. Overall 5/5. Lovely to see a family run business thriving. Being from catering we are quite hard to please but we will be back for lunch soon.

They've changed the layout since I was last here. Taken sofas away, more tables, much better in my opinion. Very clean floors and tables plus friendly and helpful staff. Coffee was good and victoria sponge will keep me visiting!
