Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, super food. Good quality and generous portions for very reasonable price. Best pub in the area. Photo is of the SMALL English breakfast!!!

Best food in Wallingford, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, great staff, speedy service and insane value for money. Seperate dining and bar areas with a large rear beer garden suits all people's needs

Friendly service amid the Bunkfest mayhem. A parade of Morris dancers at the door, good beer on tap, and happy clients. A joy in the sun.

Tuesday lunchtime. The Dolphin, recommended by locals, appeared to be the only pub in the town centre doing lunch. Cheery welcome. General feeling was a bit rundown and grubby. But lunch (full English and ploughman's) was very substantial and good value. Beer seemed well kept. BUT it is absurd that the rules insisted that each visit to the bar had to be paid for - no tab nor "trust" system. Why on earth foes the management want to pay three or four card service charges ! Crazy.

Popped in on the off chance as was in Wallingford for something and what a treat. Just fancied a pint then decided for food. Those were not ordinary baguettes. They were the best baguettes I’ve ever eaten. Thick cut half a pack of bacon and what I assumed was butchers sausages. Phenomenal. Service was top notch and the atmosphere was relaxed and easy. Will be coming back once I’ve starved myself enough for another round

We popped in at lunchtime for some food and sat in the lovely garden area. Everybody was very friendly, the food was hot and tasty and arrived quickly. Fantastic value for money as always. It's always our first choice for somewhere to eat in Wallingford.

Hands down the best breakfast I've had for years. High quality ingredients, (the sausages were particularly good), cooked to perfection and so reasonably priced. Friendly, curteous and effective staff completed the experience. Made my day.

Really nice pub. Busy family run place. Great range of beer and ciders. Nice indoor seating and pleasant outdoor area too. Some in sun, so.e in shade and big outdoor TV screen too. Food was interesting, well cooked and served promptly. Friendly welcoming place. Would visit again.

This is a great pub to visit , really good menu and food is always of good quality, still has the personal service which most places seem to lack these days, very good value
