Staff is super friendly and welcoming, the best I had over two weeks around the UK. Room was small but beds very comfy. Food was superb, try the pie! The pub was super relaxed and with a great vibe at night. I will come back when back in the area for sure.

What a fantastic pub to eat and drink in, the landlord was very friendly and the meals were exceptional. I had the homemade chicken and leek pie with chips and peas it was delicious and everything was so reasonably priced including their beer which was very well looked after. I will definitely be recommending this pub to everyone and be going back very soon, although we didn’t book the landlord was very accommodating and sat us quickly. Definitely worth a visit and can’t wait to see the big open fire lit.

We visited on a Saturday evening. It was busy, with a great atmosphere. The waitress was obviously new, sadly untrained and nervous. It took her an embarrassing 3 attempts to get a simple drinks order correct. Our meals were good, old-fashioned, home cooking. Parking is limited and narrow.

Good rotating selection of real ales available. The food is great and the menu changes seasonally. I have not used the B&B of this pub.

A short notice booking to go out with a couple of our friends and we had a fantastic time. The food was as lovely as the smiles on the faces of the staff. A friendly welcome greats you to this olde worlde traditional pub. A pub that serves proper pies, not lies that are just bowls of casserole with pastry lids. Crisp pastry with lovely chunks of steak in a rich gravy. Onion rings are amazing too and the pulled pork dirty fries are in a league of their own. We will certainly be back again soon to try more of the ales, ciders and especially the food. Thank you for a lovely evening. 😀

An enjoyable meal during the sausage and cider festival. The menu caters for all at very reasonable prices. A hidden Devon gem which provides a good service by polite and friendly staff.

We came here on the offchance for lunch, our first time. Food was really lovely, the pies in particular looked fabulous but I chose fish which was delicious - the bar was well stocked. A very dog friendly pub, we were able to order something for the dog to eat alongside our table in the corner. It was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday lunchtime. The pub is extremely old and pleasantly spiritual somehow. Our lunch was made all the more enjoyable by the hardworking and professional Abbie who despite being on her own was very attentive with a warm and beautiful smile. Thank you Abbie.

Came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon, clearly a popular pub which had a very nice atmosphere. We ordered loaded fries and a burger and chips both were lovely and service was great. We were surprised with how reasonable the meal was too, we will be returning

We stayed at The Walkhampton Inn for a weekend away with friends. What a cracking find. It was so good to find a pub that locals use, it was so friendly. Great choice of real ale and home made pies. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious.

Excellent meal at this cosy Inn. A very warm welcome by the staff and lots of people coming and going. Would recommend - particularly the steak and ale pie!
