Comfy and inviting interior. Felt welcome guests. Very Friendly and attentive staff. Good selection of dishes on the menu. All 6 of us really enjoyed our meals.

Very traditional setting in an attractive village and local walks. The beer wasn't perfect - poured too soon after connection. The food is great with plenty of choice. Wine was 👍.
Great little pub 20min walk from Heronsdale Campsite through the woods. Amazing garden for the kids, dog friendly. They also like people.
We may have chosen the wrong things, but the fish platter was quite disappointing, especially considering the pricing. Poor quality salmon and crayfish out of a tub. Overall good but slightly pricey for pub food, chips were poor - not triple cooked as stated just badly cooked which was a shame because the beer battered fish was very nice. I did comment but no reduction was offered.

Personally I would prefer simpler less expensive food. But that's just a matter of choice and what we had was well cooked and presented.
