Lovely pub, great food and accommodating staff. Everything you want in a cosy place to drink. Seated us and served us promptly even on a bank holiday Sunday without reservation. Definitely recommended.

We all loved our meals! The chicken and leek pie was to die for so was the fish pie, and the puddings were delicious. I Had rhubarb and strawberry fool and the others had the amazing sticky toffee pudding - yum!

I had a delicious steak and ale pie with seasonal vegetables- delicious, comfort food yet not too heavy. My husband had a lamb bhuna with rice, naan and mango chutney- just the right kick with lots of flavour and yummy tender lamb. Our daughter had fish a chips, crispy light batter with succulent beautifully cooked fish and great chunky chips.

Always excellent food and great staff. I walk from Reydon across to walberswick with the dogs and a friend at least once if not twice a week and we always have a snack lunch at The Bell. It is always busy even in the winter months. Would thoroughly recommend this establishment. Nick Attfield is a great landlord!

Great place to eat, drink & socialise. Love the pictures on the walls of times gone by. They show the history of the area & how much is still the same in this unspoilt area of Suffolk.

Called in for a lunch whilst on a walk. Fantastic sandwiches (lovely bread), wonderful ’smokies’ and well kept Adnams beer. We were lucky to get a table since it was busy - which is always a good sign !!

When you walk in what you see is a pub that is exactly like a good old, 600 yr old, traditional pub should be like. We arrived at exactly 12.00 on a Saturday lunch time and it was almost full which says a lot. The service, food and drink were all great and because we went out of season there wasn't anyone wearing pink chinos with a jumper tied round their neck accompanied by someone wearing dubarry boots and riding trousers. Definitely visit.

Great place, lovely food and excellent people working there. Lady at breakfast said chef wasn’t there and she could only do eggs….she did brilliant four fried eggs on toast each and lovely coffee.

Stayed here for 2 nights in mid-June. Lovely characterful, ancient public house owned by Adnams. Good cooked breakfasts using local produce. Clean and tidy bedrooms. Low ceiling beams in some bedrooms, so be aware if over 5ft 8" and ask when booking (or duck). Excellent staff at breakfast. Didn't eat lunch or evening meals so cannot comment on food or staff. Large outside space (grass), lots of benches and brollies, dog and child friendly.

Absolutely impeccable takes on pub classics. The 5-spiced pork belly with potato daphinoise, adnams gravy and celeriac mash is a banging culinary painting of Suffolk. Lovely staff and the traditional aesthetics are gorgeous.

It’s a great pub and always busy the food is tasty if a little pricey. Great beer garden and the service is great even when they are rammed out in peak season. It just drops a star as it no longer accepts cash!
