Great pub, not too big so has a really great atmosphere. We went mid-week so we one of about 3 tables. The food came promptly and everyones meals were fantastic. I had the cajun spiced chicken burger - gorgeous! My friends ordered kebabs and thai curry, all really good.

Me and my family visited this pub the other week and it was my first time but it won't be the last, excellent food, top service from the lads who were on, quite possibly the best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had!! (Ever...)

Great pub for the summer months. Has a massive beer garden with loads of room for the kids to play. An excellent terrace that you can sit and enjoy a decent pub grub meal. Good beers on tap, lots of friendly staff and handy for a walk around the dam if you are so inclined. Only issue we’ve found is that food service is pretty sporadic. We go here a fair bit and every time we come there’s a different set of rules in place. This time we went on a Sunday and they stopped serving food at 16:00, so we had to go elsewhere for food. Last time we went they had vegan pizzas on the menu and when we tried to order them we were told they didn’t have any vegan cheese and rarely did, order a pizza without cheese and it came out with cheese on and they still charged me for it because I hadn’t specified that all the cheese should be left out. Other times they’ve been great dealing with allergy requests, being really helpful and the chef coming to talk about the specific requirements to ensure they got it right. Just a flip of a coin which Pledwick is doing the food when you go.

First ever visit today despite living not far away. Girl on service was lovely and very attentive. I had hanging kebabs which were tasty ( a little sauce or garlic butter on the side would have completed the dish perfectly. My partner had the ‘Best pie in the world’ and he said it was really good too. We will definitely be back.

Cosy and welcoming, staff were super friendly. Food was nice for a gastro pub, portions for burger was generous as it came with a whole host of extras, the risotto was well cooked and nicely balanced. However, some items of note for the 4 stars... This is not an accessible friendly pub. Quite a few awkward steps inside the establishment, uneven and sloping floor (to the extent our table was defiantly not level...), initial scan implied toilets were down stairs (however didn't really explore if there was an accessible toilet on the ground floor). Did expect for a gastro pub to ask how rare diners would like their beef patty (it was super tasty) so it came pinker than desired for the other half. Would be go back? Yes, but one that we would come rushing back to due to the accessibility, so if this isn't an issue for you? Definitely recommended!

Went recently on a Sunday before a bank holiday for a few beers with friends & it was good. They have a nice outdoor setting where we spent most of our time, with friendly bar staff on hand. Worth a visit.

The Sunday menu was small but perfectly formed. The food was well presented and cooked well. The staff were very helpful and had definitely been well trained in customer service. The only downside to the Pledwick Inn is the amount of noise in the dining area. This is my third visit and the noise in the dining area is a huge minus to my dining experience. It is so bad I couldn't hear my partner who was sat opposite me. I hope the owners can look into some way to minimise it.

Made a last minute booking through OpenTable app. Friendly and attentive staff made us feel very welcome for Sunday lunch. My partner had Sea Bass, I had roast beef, and we both had Sticky Toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert. Delicious food and one of the best pub lunches I've ever had. Hope to visit again soon.

This was our 2nd time for Sunday based on how nice our 1st visit was .. unfortunately this time not as good .. Food was tasty but the first time we went the Lunch came with seasonal veg, this time there was non..which made the huge plates they use look a bit sparse ..hopefully a one off ..

Service was excellent and there was a great atmosphere. We ordered some food which was very nice. I had the dirty cheeseburger pizza and truffle fries, the food came very quickly which is always a bonus.

Went fir a sunday lunch. Food was lovely service was nice. Decent portions. I had the beef which was lovely and plenty of it. My companion had the nut roast as is vegetarian sadly that was the only option for the sunday roast for vegetarians. Only fault was the lack of cutlery. Dish of vegetables to share between 2 people but no serving spoon so had to use our forks to dish out the vegetables, which wasnt the best way to get the vegetables onto out plates. we also ordered a portion of cauliflower cheese each but sgain no serving cutlery so had to use our for again. Not good when one is vegetarian and one a meat eater. And difficult to get onto our plates. Desert we chose the brownie, it was quite a large portion. Certainly not dissapointed it was lovely. Prices a little steep but the food was nice and portion sizes were good. We only called on on spur of the moment so hadnt booked a table, it wasnt a problem at that time but i qould recomment booking a table as it got really busy a bit later on. All in all well worth a visit i would say.
