Welcome to the independent nation of Caffè Nero. By that I mean, this coffee shop is perhaps unique in Wakefield as being the only one where I can truly escape from the drudgery that is Wakefield. Aside from this USP, as part of a chain, things are much what you would expect: the same menu, the same atmosphere. The baristas are definitely more cheerful than average. Sit at the rear if you want to avoid any smoke that drifts in through the always-open front door from the outdoor seating area. And perhaps, just perhaps, don't expect the heating to be on in the final hour before closing. Aside from this two minor points, I would escape here every day... if I could afford it.
