Lovely authentic Italian resteraunt, watch the chef make your pizza in front of you as you wait for your food. The staff were great, toilets upstairs have a very blingy toilet seat and we're very clean. Plenty of paid parking outside and close to other pubs and bars.
I love this little restaurant! It's my favourite. The food is always delicious and the staff are lovely and the prices are very reasonable.
We had a delicious meal here. Food was delicious and served very quickly! Some people have mentioned bread being added to the bill however it wasn’t for us although a 10% service charge was added. The prices were reasonable though so on this occasion we felt the service charge was justified.
Amazing food at great prices and with excellent portions also, lovely and friendly staff with excellent customer service, the best Sticky toffee pudding i have ever tasted (i have had many) Great italian food and drink. Highly recommend, Prego is a Hidden Gem that everyone needs to try! Thankyou so much for a fantastic experience, we will see you again soon
We went in for a nice meal and we love the place we were greeted by friendly staff and it was really cosy and smelled amazing and we sat right next to the pizza bar and watched our food being cooked. We had a starter and a main and both meals were delicious. I have fish cakes and my hubby had pate and they were both perfectly cooked and had so much flavour. For mains I had the risotto vegetali and my hubby had the meat feast pizza the were big portions and perfectly cooked and we even took some home we were that stuffed. Would highly recommend and we will be going back soon :-)
This restaurant is a gem. I have visited a few times now and really enjoy the food. Usually pizza for me and it never fails to impress me. Along with the great food you also get excellent service every time.

Brilliant little Italian restaurant, the food is delicious, great offers including the teatime set menu! Excellent service and all the staff are lovely, would highly recommend!
The food was exceptional, the staff all really friendly but not intrusively so, and upstairs was lovely with a little music in the background (not too loud).
I can honestly say best pizza I have had in many a year. The sea food risotto was perfect just the right amount of chilli.

Stopped by Wakefield during a short train connection (25 mins) and decided to get some dinner. We found this restaurant 3 mins away from the station. Since we had to catch the train very soon so we asked the staff if they can prepare something really quick for takeaway. The manager recommended that we should order the pizza. Saw the pizza made fresh and the food was ready in 5 min. Made it back to the next train with few mins to spare. Very pleased with the order, the friendly service, and the quality of the pizza!
All our food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it too! It was a great venue for our birthday celebration but a little quiet as it was a Thursday evening, hence the 4 stars, but no problem for our lively group of 6 ladies. We'll done Prego!

Went with friends for a birthday meal . First time to this restaurant and we were not disappointed . We will definitely go again,highly recommended !!!!!
Had a wonderful meal here with my mum for her birthday. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Cosy family atmosphere, I would definatly return especially to try other food on the menu.
Best Italian in wakefield, food is outstanding and the service is on point. The pizza is out of this world.

The Pizza Vesuvius calzone is cooked to perfection in the wood fired oven and the napolitana sauce with some chilli's has just the right amount of taste.
Good food but a little expensive. Drinks also expensive compared with other restaurants in Wakefield
Always excellent food and service.....and Jessica has an outstanding memory always remembers what we ate and drank last time 🙂
