Been here well over 10 times now, and it's great. Everything is cooked to order so do expect a 5-10 minute wait for food. Always comes out hot though.

Tried a Mother Hubbard's for the first time and honestly can't remember the last time I had such a delicious fish and chip dinner. I bought a standard haddock and chips with a curry sauce for £9. Massive portion for the price, I was stuffed afterwards! The fish was delicious and nicely battered, the chips were massive and chunky. The curry sauce was a lovely topper. The young, blonde lady who served me was very polite and professional. Very clean and freshly presented seating area. Brilliant stuff. I'll definitely be buying again.
Best fish & chips I have had. 5/5 on everything (taste, texture, portion size & value for money). Makes an excellent family meal, very nice service when eating in & for a takeaway.

Yesterday I wented to eat fish and chips so I went to mother hubbards in Wakefield £7.95 fish and chips what can I say but very beautiful price it's a good job that I didn't get anything else because my stomach was full the best fish and chips shop in Yorkshire for my birthday present my son is going to take me out for lunch again
Fish and chips were delicious, prices are a little premium but very happy with overall quality of the food. Added extra salt and vinegar as requested via uber eats and the curry sauces was tasty along with the pie. Pleased customer.

Got the special with chips. Beautiful chunky fish. Got it lightly battered and lightly fried. Really really nice especially with the 50٪ off.
Excellent service from a lovely young lady at lunchtime. Told me about loyalty scheme and was a pleasure to chat to. Food was excellent value, only comment is chips could be crisper but tasted good
