I've struggled to find a restaurant or takeaway that does really good Indian food in the Wakefield area and had pretty much given up on eating out for a curry preferring to cook at home. Was encouraged by the reviews for the Spiced Mango and wasn't disappointed. Will definitely return many times I think! I hadn't chicken methi which was delicious and my other half had the chicken chilli roshun (hot). His was the winner of the two, a bit of heat but not too much and so garlicky and tasty! I will definitely be ordering that on my next visit. The roti and garlic naan we ordered were tremendous, the lemon rice could have done with a bit more seasoning but there was a salt pot on the table. Can't wait to work my way through the rest of the menu 😋
Best Indian for miles great food excellent selection. Have been to this restaurant many times and enjoyed every meal .Service spot on. My sister wanted to try a dish but was unsure as to whether it would be to her taste she was reassured by the waiter if it was not to her taste they would take it away and give her another dish of her choice. You cannot ask for better than that.
This place is 5 mins walk for us and if we could we would eat there every night. Not only top quality food (eat in or take away it's the same quality) the service is excellent too. All the staff are very friendly and attentive to kids too with complimentary fruit, chocolates and lollipops at the end of dinner.
Early on when the restaurant started we had a small issue with one of the dishes (taste) and the team did so much to put that right it was amazing, those actions made us even more loyal. The menu even includes healthier options like 'Methi' which does not suffer any flavour loss at all, it's an excellent dish. Also if you want something specific, slightly off menu they are open to individual needs. My teenage daughter chose to have her family (14 of us) birthday dinner there so that says a lot about how much we enjoy it.

This is by far the best restaurant to go to, 5* food and 5* hospitality! Highly recommend the naga pepper masala if you like something with a kick, amazing!

We had takeout from here today and the food was gorgeous and big portions! The chicken melted in your mouth cooked perfectly will definatly be going back. When I came to pick up the food the staff were so welcoming and polite , next time we will come and eat in the restaurant.
Although I don't visit regularly (as I live in London), all the meals I've had here have been of excellent quality. Fresh cooked meals, coupled with excellent service (all the staff are exceptionally polite) a great menu choice, never a bad meal. I always look forward to a good curry when I'm back up north now!

We visited on a Monday night, expecting it to be quiet, yet there were plenty of people in. Which I'm guessing why this place has favourable reviews. I had the Spicy Tandoori Lamb Chops to start, followed by the Spiced Cinnamon Duck. The chops were ever so slightly dry (I prefer them nice and juicy), but the flavour was great. The main course however was a revelation! I must admit, it doesn't look amazing in the photo, but it tasted fabulous. If a little pricey at £19.95. The service was great and the staff were friendly. The place looked clean and done up like you'd expect a lot of Indian restaurants to be. I'll definitely be visiting again.
The restaurant is inviting with a contemporary high standard decor. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and also knowledgeable when we asked questions about the dishes on the menu. The food was amazing, fresh and tasty - we particularly liked the fish pakora that came on the sharing platter. We will definitely back in fact we are already planning our next visit!

We've been eating here regularly for years, the food and service are consistently good. Staff are friendly and welcoming from arrival. It's clean and nicely decorated. It's generally busy so worth booking especially on weekends. Children are welcome. There are some English child friendly options, not had these for a while though. Portion sizes are generous and I'd recommend sylethi paratha and bindi ghosh.
Great curries which are very tasty. Wait times for takeaway can be long. Inside it can be quite crowded. Worth a visit.

AMAZING!! Was in The Spiced Mango a few weeks back with lovely company and enjoyed a beautiful meal with great compliments to the Chef!! From the moment of entering, to the welcome, the staff and the very friendly atmosphere it was just a lovely moment and would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to experience the same so thank you to The Spiced Mango- till the next time......
