Excellent Inn for an overnight stay. We've been a couple of times and impressed each time. Rooms clean and tidy, staff very helpful and a particularly welcoming scally barman! Menu was varied and with some hearty game options which were particularly nice. Splendid breakfast and lunch too.

The rooms were lovely and comfortable. Checked in with ease and all staff in lodge and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be top of my list when in the area. Food was deliciously homemade. This literally was like an apartment with a little living area, sofa in front of the television and really felt quite homely. I stay at a lot of different places with working away all the time and this place is most definitely in my top 3. If I had to find fault. It would be the height of the doors and corridor. I’m only 5.6 and I still had to duck a little but really don’t let that put you off because it really is a wonderful place to stay. Just to add there’s plenty of parking too which is free.

Hotel as always, wonderful for the price! Huge soft beds, good pillows, quaint decor, modern but theme-matching bathroom. If you have eaten here about a year ago and are skeptical of the recent good reviews like we were - This place has to be under new management or have a new head chef. We ate here a year ago and it was diabolical and inedible. Now - the food I ate was the best food I have probably eaten in the UK.

My room was really nice and modern. Nice hot shower, really comfy bed. Free parking and plenty of it. Breakfast was excellent, I would definitely recommend this place.

BRILLIANT!!! This place is brilliant. I’ve felt very welcomed from the second I got here right up to checking out(we also stayed at the hotel). The staff are excellent and so friendly. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Fair warning, you will love the landlord here, he is a top top bloke!!

Three of us went for a meal here. We had the Seabass, cheese burger and the wild boar burger. The service from Natasha was faultless and we enjoyed her attentive but not intrusive service. The food wasn't that great though, with all dishes being overcooked but on the edge of acceptable. The starters and puds were excellent so a shame about the mains. Hopefully this was a one off as it's a nice place to have a meal. As an aside we didn't say anything so didn't give the Feathers chance to address the issue and do anything about it. Our bad!

We only had a snack and tea on this occasion as the purpose of our visit was to book a wake. They were most helpful. We have booked the wake and when I have attended I will be able to make a better review

I bought mum here for a birthday lunch and was lovely. The restaurant was very quite but meant we could chat and have a good catch up without the hussel and bussel of a busy service. Food and staff nice, a lovely few hours spent

What a lovely change in our local pub. Beer was cool, food cooked to perfection and amazing service by our waitress Abby. Dog friendly too which is perfect for village life, definitely will be regulars now

Wonderful place, newly renovated rooms. Their inn/pub has a nice selection, and a vegetarian or vegan cooked breakfast with Quorn sausages. Easy to get into London, by taking the car or taxi to Ware train station and taking the Great Anglia train to Liverpool Street station.

Staff were fantastic. Silly busy but we weren't in a hurry. Starters better than mains.
