We visited Woody’s Pizza after a trip to Padstow on our way back to where we were staying in Bude.
My husband did the research and found they had vegan options.
The Saltbox was easy to find and it looked like somewhere cool. A bonus was that it was dog friendly too!
Both my husband and I are vegan and we were pleased to see vegan options. We both had the vegan pepperoni pizzas and I added olives to mine.
Pizza was ready promptly (we visited on a Wednesday afternoon) and it smelt amazing. We dug straight in and I was not disappointed. The pizza base was perfect. Thin, light, airy and crispy without being too crispy. The homemade vegan pepperoni was delicious and cut beautifully.
I only have good things to say about this place and I highly recommend a visit. It’s so clear they’ve put thought and effort into their selection and their vegan option is no different.
Visited here 30/09/22. At around 3pm.
To anyone who hasn't visited. It's a quirky multi dining experience made up of steel containers offering different cuisines. On different floors.
As we walked in there was only 3 open both on the ground floor. That was the milkshakes and cakes, the craftworks and woodys pizzas. What made us choose pizza was how friendly warm and welcoming the man at the counter was. (Not that the other places were not welcoming). It was just that this man was more welcoming.
We ordered the monta and a garlic bread with cheese. Both were delicious in flavour and taste. Personally I like mine a little more well done. But thats just Personal preference my partner thought it was perfect. And with that, fully deserving of the 5 stars In customer service and delicious food. Thank you.
Great pizza spot in a very cool location! I had the Hella (hot) pizza and cheesy garlic bread, while my wife had the Zucca. The pizzas are creative, the Zucca has a saucy base of butternut squash, very tasty! The Hella is nice and spicy, just as I like it, with beautiful flavours. On the night we were there, the team were two younger people who really knew how to knock the pizzas out in short order! Super friendly, and really helpful, they are a great FOH team. If I had any critique at all, it would just be that the crust was not as crisp as it could have been, likely due to the team pushing the pizzas out at such a high rate. Wouldn't stop us coming again, though! See you then! Great pizza!
absolutely blooooody lovely, we are on holiday in wadebridge and LOVED it!! super quick and efficient service and lovely staff in a really cool setting and delicious, tasty and fresh pizzas. tomato sauce was fabulous and left feeling incredibly satisfied and full but not bloated or uncomfortable- rare with a whole pizza. 10/10 would eat again 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hunted this place down after seeing a sign in port issac (it's former pop up). Their main base of operations is within a cargo unit with other eateries.
Pizzas were fantastic and came out super quickly. We were there for late Sunday lunch 2pm ish? Followed the recommendations of the chef, very happy with the results.
I had the capricciosa and my partner had the fennel sausage along with some garlic and cheese bread. All fantastic. She even gave us a take away box as I couldn't finish mine in one sitting.
Worth the visit!
We came all the way from Germany just for this delicious Pizza 😉
Kidding, but seriously the Pizza was extremely delicious, 5/5 and the young women working there were so friendly and provided great service.
Can only recommend
Had the Hella Vegan Pizza (with dairy mozzarella as I am vegetarian not vegan) and it is THE BEST vegetarian pizza I have had. So nice to have an interesting and flavoursome vegetarian/vegan pizza option and the meat free sausage was amazing. Very happy to have had something I used to love as a meat eater again after 2 years. Highly recommend.
Best pizza place in cornwall! We recommend to all friends and our Airbnb. The girl that is there most of the time is absolutely lovely, as is the owner. The BEST chili dip ever 😋. Hands down my favourite pizza place
Enjoyed fantastic pizzas here last night. Great to see some different toppings on the menu and the bases are amazing. Best pizzas we've had for a long time. Eating them upstairs on the open terrace was a bonus on a gorgeous summer evening. Highly recommend- we will be back!
Very welcoming experience. Absolutely nailed it with the timing of taking an order and then getting my pizza baked. All credit goes to Amy who heated it with perfection. Fantastic sour dough along with everything else guys. 👍
Tasty pizza and fast service. They have vegan options too.
Fantastic pizza. Well worth a visit.
tl;dr one of the very best pizzas I’ve had in the UK. Worth the drive down to Cornwall.
I’m a big fan of the neopolitan style of pizza, and in London we’re spoilt for choice with the likes of Santa Maria, Pizza Pilgrims, Pizza East, Bravvi Ragazi etc. This ranks alongside them, and is worth looking out if you’re in Cornwall (even if you have to drive a fair while to get there).
I made up my own pizza, with nduja, fennel sausage and spicy salami (spianata I think - exceptional). Base was beautifully cooked, not too much cheese and just the right amount of tomato. I’d honestly happily eat these again and again.
We had takeaway but there are tables available if you want to eat there. I will be going back for more.
(Forgive the picture - it was so good I ate half of it before taking a picture).
Amazing flavours of pizza, that I've never experienced anywhere else. Their permanent location is a great quirky little spot. Park at Lidl and stroll over.
Phoned in advance and ordered 3 pizzas with various toppings. Pizzas were ready on time, cooked to perfection and staff were lovely and welcoming. Can highly recommend and will be back soon!
Had the zucca pizza and it was delicious! As good as the pizzas I had when I lived in Italy!
They also do Gluten Free pizzas!
One of my favourite pizza places. If you want pure authentic Naples Pizza then look no further. The ingredients/toppings are very organic and fresh. The best part is the dough - it’s so yummy!
Had tried almost everywhere else in Salt box as it was often closed (I stay away Mondays a lot) but have been waiting to try it as a self appointed pizza connoisseur. When I visited it was pretty quiet and I was served by a couple of nice polite staff. I went for the margarita as I think that’s a real tell on a good pizza place and it was pretty decent. Very close to what I had in Naples and the tomato’s definitely make a difference. Personally, would like a bit more seasoning (pepper/Oregon etc.) but I get what they are doing. Will return for the Bee Sting next time! I just hope people complaining about wait times etc. understand what the hospitality industry is going through at the moment! I will definitely be back.
