Bought two portions of fish and chips here the other week. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the best fish and chips we've had for a long time. The chips were crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The batter was light and crisp. The fish was very fresh and cooked to the point of perfection, just opaque and was beautifully moist/juicy. Portion size was good too.

Big thank you to all the lovely staff last night who kept open so we could have delicious fish and chips after a long drive from Essex. We arrived just at closing time and feared the worst. But we needn’t have worried because the lovely ladies cooked us a fresh dinner and we were even able to pop and get some petrol while they prepared it. That’s what I call Cornish hospitality!

Found Jon's a little while ago although lived down here 14 years. I've been disappointed with fish and chips generally in Cornwall, I thought they were going to be good but they've been so inconsistent. Now Jon's! I've been six or seven times now and they are just right, absolutely consistent and cooked to perfection. I like them cooked crispy, not half cooked and limp. They are the best I've found down here, I hope they keep it up and if you want confirmation ; just look at the how many are waiting out there every evening! Oh, and the batter! so good I could eat a batter sandwich from there, and the cod ; can't wait for the next time.

Jon’s fish and chips are the best in Wadebridge. I even know people that travel 12 miles from Indian Queens to get fish and chips from here, because they are so good.

Needs 5* because of the brilliant Plaice, tasted really fresh, and the curry sauce is thick and very nice, only negative is that the batter is a little too thick, but that can be removed and enjoyed, given how good the Plaice was the batter can easily be forgiven!

The food was fantastic! There was a queue but that just shows how good the food is. Will definitely be visiting again before we leave.
