Enjoyed visiting here, managed to get in using a wheelchair, but the toilets involved a few steps which was manageable as there was handrail’s. Went in for the beer as was lured by the music which was very good, and provided for a most enjoyable early evening entertainment. Good place to while away some time, and left having got into conversations with locals which is the sign of a good friendly establishment.

Got off the bus in Ventnor and this pub was right next to the bus stop. In we went and we were so impressed that we stayed there all day. The Locals made us feel very welcome as did the Landlady and her Bar Maid. We liked it so much that we went back the next day. The pub has so much history and thanks Debbie for sharing it with us. Also thanks to Rascal and Robbie for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back.

Really great little pub, we were served by a lovely lady who was very helpful with recommendations and dealing with our fussiness! Delicious food, we all really enjoyed it all round. Had quite a few veggie options and 3 vegan options that all looked good! It had a really warm comfy environment. Nice cold and good tasting beer as well with a few good options. I would really recommend this pub.

Amazing homemade burgers pulled pork and beef only £9:95 and fabulous chips too. A friendly and welcoming service too on a soggy Friday lunchtime. Very dog friendly.

Welcoming, friendly, great food! Regular menu with a great selection of daily specials. Small, clean pub. Attempted to walk in on Thursday only to be told they were fully booked. Good for them. So I phoned on Friday and got a table for the evening. I went for the Cheesed-off chicken which proved to be delicious! Give me a bucket full of your coleslaw please!! Chips were perfect. All ingredients visibly fresh, tasty and well seasoned. For desert a lemon curd which was nicely presented with fresh fruit and a few drops of lemon and berry sirup (homemade I guess!). Zingy and delicious! Staff extremely friendly, chatty and observant without being overbearing. Never sat more than 10min without someone dropping by to ask whether I/food was ok. The perfect service! Toilets clean and well kept. Definitely recommend this lovely pub

Busy, friendly, pub with very good food. The menu has standard items, but lots of more interesting items on the specials board. Good beer too.
