Another visit to The Buddle Inn for a pre-Christmas meal. Roast turkey and a roast beef, all meals were perfect.
Love this place for being a traditional English pub. Great service, atmosphere, food and drink.
Would highly recommend.
We'll be Back!!
Lovely pub serving Mermaid gin and island sea salt vodka, food was good, service was great and the live music awesome. Big up to Sean and his guitar. Had a great evening here.
wow! - lovely pub with great views to the sea, good selection of beers + some of the finest pub food in IOW.
Amazing food and fantastic service!
We were a group of 4 adults and 3 children. With our daughter being coeliac we are always weary of where to take her but the GF options were fantastic and they reassured us about cross contamination.
Would wholeheartedly recommend this for GF and non GF food.
Absolutely lovely food, great service, can't wait to go back, would thoroughly recommend this place
Brilliant pub, great views and fantastic staff! A huge thank you to Vicky for her recommendation for our next pub as well!
Lovely atmospheric pub, dog friendly with great food. Always a must visit when on the island.
Great local pub!! Fantastic with kids and adults!!! Highly recommend it for anyone passing through!!!
Yummy roast dinner here today. Friendly staff but not in your face whilst eating, which is always good.
Clean, welcoming and would definitely return.
Thanks to the Buddle Inn and Jamie.... our stay was great..... the food was excellent... next time I'll bring my accordion. Thanks again From the Buddles in America.

Great service, food good ,grandson enjoyed a tender steak ,
Portion size very good.
There is even a Buddle Ale.
All in all great meal
Amazing pub. I visit at least once a year . Foods great, beers great, staff are great and the atmosphere is ...... you guessed it ! Been here loads and have photos of my family through the generations stood outside......... always struggle to find it though . Coming back at the end of the month though
A gorgeous country pub overlooking the sea. The smell of authentic pub, beer and food cooking was alluring and will surely be back to sample the food. Settled for a pint of cider and crisps in the sun and beer garden. Fantastic village, and walks to keep anyone occupied for a day or two.
The Buddle Inn has got to be my favourite place to eat on the island. My first time there I had the crab Mac n cheese which was absolutely delightful. This time around only the Sunday menu was available, but we made do with spaghetti bolognaise and a vegan strudel. The staff is always lovely, and the venue itself is very inviting, with a nice outdoor area at the front. Big fan of the wallpaper!
4 of us dropped in without a booking just as the heavens opened 😱
So glad we did!
Staff very friendly & helpful, local Smugglers ale nice and food all very tasty.
Good to see it doing so well 😎👍
Thanks!!
A beautiful place to rest in Niton for a long summer evening. Outdoor settings were comfortable and the town is endearing and aesthetic. Careful of your footing on the floor, but I wouldn't change it!
I ordered the steak, and it was just OK. Pricey and not a great cut. Thin and overcooked. Satisfying nonetheless!
Been here twice in the last week, and the food has been stunning each time! Highly recommend if you love big portions and homely pub grub!
enjoyed three separate visits at the Buddle over our week's stay in Niton, lured by the innovative loyalty app, but returning for the quality of the food, the friendly staff and the gorgeous weather in the garden. Loved the fish curry and mussels, but the seafood salad was by far my favourite, now where can I find that up here in the Yorkshire Dales? Thanks Buddle team!
Amazing location to start with, especially when the sun is out and sitting in the garden. Great choice of food on the menu, friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit
Beautiful evening to sit in the garden for our meal and take in the amazing view! Such a lovely location and the food was perfect too.
Lovely old English pub with large beer garden. Excellent food and friendly staff. Good carpark opposite and views of the sea.
Unfortunately not accessible inside the pub for wheelchairs. Steps in and very steep ramp with lack of turning space. Narrow toilets but they do have nappy changing facility. The garden benches are troublesome if mobility problems. A few garden chairs available would make it easier to sit at the table. Minor tweaks would make it more accessible.
Took my wife and 4 girls. What a lovely place with a lovely atmosphere. The food was too die for and the options for the kids plentiful, definitely worth a visit just for the Sunday lunch alone!
Enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast a couple weekends ago with a group of friends. I would definitely say this awesome Inn is a must visit for people staying on the Isle of Wight!
Lovely food, friendly staff. Decent Atmosphere, nothing too special just your average pub/inn.
Overall pretty nice place, although was not fond of the 'hidden' 10% staff tip added onto the bill at the end, seems forced to do so even though you can ask to remove it it's awkward to do so. If people want to tip they will.
If your staff are relying on that 10% then pay them better.
Lovely pub. Good service and nice pint.
Food was pretty good too!
Came for Sunday roast. Seated by a window with stunning views! Staff were friendly and attentive. The meat was tender and veggies cooked spot on. Yorkie was a little soggy but still tasty! Thanks

Absolutely amazing! Cosy atmosphere. Service was great, staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food was phenomenal! We shared the charcuterie platter then had the 10oz steak, melt in your mouth amazing! Perfectly cooked, beautiful crispy chips and lovely sauces. Dessert was just as good! Will recommend to anyone who will listen! Definitely visiting here again!
Really lovely place to eat, fantastic old Smugglers Inn, very atmospheric. A varied menu and reasonable prices plus great service. From The Buddle Inn you can walk down to a fantastic view to St.Katherine's Lighthouse and beyond.
Excellent Sunday roast and pudding. Very friendly staff and a great location. We lucked out catching it on the last night of opening for the season.
Historic pub offering a beautiful view, cozy atmosphere and a traditional pub menu. I chose a lovely home made lamb stew with root veg and cous cous. Cooked in its own juices not in processed stuff. My family who had fish and chips or burger and chips all enjoyed their meal and said the quality and taste were very good.
