Fantastic place for breakfast, lunch or tea & cake! Some of the best gluten free cakes I’ve ever tasted. What makes this place so special though are the staff

This is a great venue for tea and caking, with a welcoming vibe and some amazing cakes. My husband even got to try out the piano in the window. Excellent fun.

The Tea House .... A marvellous blend of fantastic flavours, fresh local produce, speciality loose~leaf teas , coffee, homemade cakes, daily treats sweet & savoury. With music and art to feed the heart and soul, friendly , smiley , slightly bonkers staff make for a practically magic atmosphere. Then of course there's the tap dancing dogs .....

Great service and wonderful food...some lovely gift ideas in the shop too. Brilliant to get tea served up in a china pot and cup...why does it always taste so much better that way?! Think the loos must've been having an 'off day', at least according to my daughter! Never mind; ***t happens!🤪

Wow! The best bacon butty I've ever had. Great service with fun and laughs, absolute gem of a place. Nothing was too much trouble and went the extra mile to satisfy my requests (extra extra hot latte and an egg added to the bacon butty). This place is BANG ON! Thank you to the team. Perfect.

Very nice traditional tea house - excellent tea as you would expect and a lovely selection of locally baked cakes. Also available island roasted coffee - we purchased to sample at home. Wider menu also available. Professionally served, nice and clean inc. usual facilities. Parking nearby.

Great family run business with delicious cakes, great coffee (yes actually good coffee! Properly made and not burnt!) plus the cakes, did I mention the cakes?! Warm and friendly welcome every time, in a clean and airy vintage setting.

We were on holiday in Ventnor for two weeks. We had takeaway from The Tea House twice in that time on the recommendation from the ladies who own the property we were staying in. On both occasions the food was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend the Yee-Haw beans. The ribs were sublime and we had a Reuben both times and it was just delicious. If you are staying in Ventnor then you owe it to yourselves to have food from (or at) The Tea House. The staff, in my brief meeting with them to pickup the food, were all very nice and I can imagine reading in would be a similarly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

12 of us cyclists were made to feel very welcome at The Tea House. We were cycling the Isle of Wight and wanting a lunch stop. Food was delicious and a good choice and as I said staff were very welcoming. Highly recommend. Thank you from the Marlow riders

Such friendly staff, they are in the right business!! Great food! Coffee was decent but doesn't have the fancy latte art if you are looking for that. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing find - the food was exceptional, I had Garlic mushrooms on toast, my Dad had Thai style butternut squash with peanut soup (out of this world) and my Mum had Spinach soup. I cannot praise this place highly enough - it was very Covid safe and the staff were really lovely 12 out of 10!!!!😊😊😊😊

Nice little coffee and tea shop. Tables were well spaced apart. Only had coffee which was good, but the cakes on offer looked really good too. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely little café on the high street. We took our dog in there and they were very accommodating. Try the monster hot chocolate! The specials board was plentiful too.

We used to visit here lots as the 1st place on the island that had dairy free cakes 5 years ago. The tea is lovely loose leaf and definitely more than one cup per pot. The cake was a little on the small side for the price and a little dry but it was the last slice. We were told ok arrival if we wanted food due to the large order placed before us would be awhile.

Visited this lovely tea house on a cold and wet day on the IOW to be very warmly welcomed by the staff. The food was excellent; and the slice of homemade cake I had was to die for. Will definitely be back for another visit next time I'm on the island.

A welcome addition to the high street in Ventnor - a great offering of cake, and tasty it was ! .... A nice space, with good tables and a welcoming shop front . ......................BUT...... please display the prices together with the cakes, it is not fair to make customers to 'buy blind' - and saves any embarrassment at the till. I would also say there needs to be more training on the coffee machine; £2.50 for a scalding hot, over steamed milk is not desirable. There are too many places, happy to spend £5k on the machine, and charge at top end of price range , but cannot make & serve coffee correctly.

Had breakfast here: great food and super friendly service. Food is homemade including their own baked beans 😋. Plenty of veggie and vegan options too.
