Very welcoming staff, to us and the dog! Rooms comfortable and good value for money...an extra tenner for the pooch which is standard. Food was utterly delicious. Great choice for breakfast and dinners we had there very very good.
I wish we had had the wake for my mother-in-law here, the other place in Valley (the Valley) was a dreadful dreadful mistake. Best food I've had in a while, friendly locals, jolly staff. I'll be back there if and when I return.
Had lovely carvery for mothers day even accommodated myself by making a gluten free crumble as I had asked in advance if any sweets were gf friendly
We visited the Bull last Friday and enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal. The food was fabulous, and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend the Bull, thank you.

Great friendly place and check out the weekly Thursday night Quiz!
Went for lunch today and had a great all day breakfast. Food and service was good.
We were with quite a big group with a few children too. Unfortunately my grandson fell off his chair and cut his head quite badly. Luckily they had a superhero on hand...Jeff. Thank you so much for the prompt attention and first aid. We took your advice, went to A & E and were glued together.
Excellent hotel, full of memories of happy family occassions so a pleasure to visit for the first time in a long time. I was put in a room that faced onto the restaurant vents and though the windows blocked out the noise it was a hot day. As soon as I returned to reception they changed my room to a room in the new extension which was very impressive with all the facilities including a fridge. Breakfast was lovely and the fruit selection excellent. All the staff were very warm and efficient.
I popped in for a drink after discovering the cornishman Richard Trevithick (inventor of the steam locomotive) passed away there. Okay selection of beers, no IPA. Ended up having fish & chips which were good. Great value, massive portion. Friendly staff.
I came to this hotel for a weekend. The experience was very nice to come in and see what the whole place was like. It's a good place to come as a family. They should pay a little more attention to the cleanliness of the toilets in the rooms, everything else is fine.
Wow what a fantastic establishment very welcoming great management and their team is fantastic,
Very clean rooms, great atmosphere, and outstanding food the Sunday roast is 5star (review from a head chef so expectations)
Quality of real Ale is superb and a good variety,
I could write a thousand good things about this place but all I can say is try for yourself you will not be disappointed.
Thanks again everyone at the Bull and Vic keep up the good work.

Ashley was fantastic today, hugely engaging with my friends daughter and lots of fun. Food was really tasty especially my halloumi and presto burger. We are going to hold an event here on the back of today.
I was at the Royal Victoria hotel for two nights, and it was one of the best hotels I have ever visited. The room is clean, the view is charming, the staff is kind and helpful, and the service is impressive .. I am sure that it is not the last visit .. The reception was very helpful and kind, and the concierge was very kind .. I will rate this place 10/10.
We have stayed here many time's and always been completely satisfied with everything. But the stay we have just had was not as expected. Check in and room 1st class, the breakfast waste worst we have ever had. Scrambled eggs on toast, just soggy bread that had been no colour to it, my husband's full English was dried up baked beans, over cooked egg, sausage that looked like it had been microwaved then char grilled very hard and inedible, the waitress did offer to change things but we declined, because we felt that it should have been right in the first place.
My name is Webster now not Russell can't see how to change it on here.
What a wonderful place. Fantastic looking pub with a very stylish and comfortable atmosphere. The pub is part of a hotel and appears as if it is part of an older world arcade with a glass ceiling. Whilst I didn't eat anything, or even see any of the food on offer, I would imagine it to be decent at the very least,- and cheap! The Guinness is excellent and the Doom Bar as well.
We went to the Royal as a back up plane but wasn't disappointed. Very nice food. Good service in very nice pub 👍
I stayed here last week when visiting my son. A great hotel in a great location with a lot of history dating back to 1700s I believe. The bedrooms are a bit tired and decor is dated but that doesn't detract from a comfortable bed . I had an issue with my sink plug which was fixed immediately. The breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly. Would I stay here again ?.....Yes.
