We had a wonderful meal here on my husband’s 50th birthday this week. The waitress was helpful and efficient, we didn’t have to wait long for our food and when it came it was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend the fish platter to share! Lovely decor and great atmosphere too. We will be returning! Thank you Catch 22. 👍
The jazz Evening was just great and even better that the place was full with a lovely vibe going on . My meal was absolutely spot on ..delicious ! ..Compliments to the Chef !

We had a hen party at catch22 yesterday and it was brilliant! The food was delicious and the staff were extremely accommodating to everything. Would highly recommend for any occasion!!
Just got back from a fab evening with my hubby...To say he's a fussy so and so is an understatement, but all 3 courses he raved about. He even ate salad lol. The curry was absolutely fantastic...can't wait to go back. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and wonderful staff... I would highly recommend everyone to go.....

Best meal in years. Really unique flavours. Had the porcine and leek pasta. The other half had the grilled chicken with Spanish potatoes and green beans. Have already booked a return later in the week. Only issue is the parking is a bit restricted. Love this brassiere!!
Very nice venue, beautifully decorated. Friendly staff & AMAZING food. We went as a group of 8 for lunch, the staff were very attentive and lovely. It is a dog friendly venue upstairs as well.
We visited here for a birthday meal on Friday. The food and service was impeccable, my boyfriend had the fish and chips and I had the pesto pasta. Good choice of veggie options (might be nice to have a few more - there’s the pasta, burger and a pie so fairly safe choices). I also had two cocktails which were really well made. A little on the pricier side for sure but a fantastic experience.
Seafood and non-alcoholic meals:
The experience we had at this establishment was nothing short of extraordinary. My husband and I were both captivated by the sheer beauty of the dishes we ordered. The service we received was impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary preferences. We opted for the fish and chips, and since we don't consume alcohol, they graciously substituted cider in the batter and gravy with soda water, informing us of the resulting consistency change, which we appreciated.
The real standout was the King Prawn Singapore Curry; it was an absolute delight that left us without a single complaint. Every aspect of the dish was spot-on, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
Lovely calm atmosphere, classy appearance outside and a coastal look inside. Easy parking. Lots of space between the tables, beautiful drinks! The food was stratospheric! Salmon was cooked PERFECTLY. Clean. Cannot fault anything.
Very nice place. We got in right away on a Sunday with no prior booking but only after 10 mins of sitting down, the whole place is full. Menu has a large variety to choose from besides the classic Sunday roast. Tasteful presentation and delicious food. Very good service. Will return if back to the area.
We are so in love with the food. Arancini is a must-try with heavily loaded stuffing flavoured and balanced perfectly.
The tender texture of Welsh steak in its burger is another highlight. Absolutely a place with excellent food.
Absolutely enjoyed every dish we ordered! Chicken wings - first time having this flavour and it works well! Chicken is nicely cooked, tender in the inside and slightly crispy on the skin. Main dishes - Arancini very well cooked, nice texture on the outside and risotto with lots of flavour, the lobster alioli added to the palette, very happy with it. Sea bream was fresh and had a nice light flavour (reminds me of a Japanese flavour), ‘nduja tomato sauce and spinach were great complements. Dessert was a elevated decomposed snickers, fun and yummy! Highly recommend this place, will revisit when we get a chance!
When I first saw the prices, I was a little shocked. Although I am from Yorkshire so, that's not saying much. However, I must say, it's definitely worth the price. If anything, it's cheap for the quality you receive. I had the pesto penne pasta and it was definitely the most flavourful pasta, I've ever had at a restaurant. The home made pesto was delicious!

Heaven must be missing an Angel
Firstly, we have to mention the Broccoli and Ricotta Kataifi Pie. No wait, I'll get to that. First, the staff - they are extra special staff, friendly, lovely happy smiley staff. They make you feel welcome and wanted and actually made us feel like VIPs; they were so nice. Then the food... the food is amazingly good. You can tell it's fresh, it's local; we even saw deliveries coming in as we left from local fishmongers and ice cream makers.
I'm writing as fast as I can because I'm bursting to tell you about the Broccoli and Ricotta Kataifi Pie. However, bear with me for a moment because we had starters: Goats cheese croquettes for me and prawn focaccia for Mum - both were delightful to look at and tasted amazing. Piles of fresh, juicy prawns on freshly toasted focaccia, and the goats cheese croquettes were sublime. I already want to go back just for those starters!
NOW, I get to talk about the Broccoli and Ricotta Kataifi Pie. I've never had this kind of pie before - the top is like finely shredded, crispy, buttery pastry goodness. I didn't see a van delivering this, so I highly suspect it's ordered directly from Heaven or that the chef is actually an angel. The filling inside was light, creamy, and perfectly balanced with a touch of lemon. It's safe to say we've never tasted a pie quite like this before, and it left us longing for more... you have to try this pie. Mum had the char-grilled chicken breast on patatas bravas, and it was gorgeous (we taste each other's food), but my pie was the winner.
As if the starters and main course weren't enough to delight our taste buds, the desserts pushed us into foodie paradise. My mum, claiming to be too full, couldn't resist the allure of the Vanilla and Tonka Bean Creme Brulee. Watching her devour it in minutes was proof of its deliciousness. Meanwhile, I savored the Brownie with Chocolate Tuille and Mint Ice Cream, a divine combination that rounded off the meal perfectly. Had to undo the top button of my jeans tho on the drive home. Worth it
We cannot thank Catch 22 enough for providing us with such a wonderful afternoon. We're already planning our return visit to explore more of their exquisite menu, so lucky you're local. Diolch x
Spontaneous choice for us as only here one night for work but obviously a well known gem in the area and absolutely delicious food , we had a couple of Oysters which were like none we’ve had before, then I had the Arancini and my husband had the prawn curry, all just perfect. Thanks we will be back.
