Everyone is acquainted to one or two Chinese buffet available across the vast restaurant fields of London, but nestled in the quiet part of west London is Tai pan, an authentic Chinese restaurant with a vast variety of eastern and oriental dishes and an open pan option where your food is prepared right before your eyes, the glamour, beautiful array of colours and an atmosphere to boot makes Tai Pan a must go for flavour hunters. Recommended is the “Steak in Black Bean sauce”, a taste sensation that would definitely leave you wanting more. The restaurant also provides a decent selection of beverages and spirits and also a desert menu that would leave you wanting nothing more.

I was taken to Tai Pan by my friend for lunch. We had buffet.

The choice of dishes was quite wide, and constantly being kept warm and full. The restaurant was quite full, so they kept delivering freshly cooked food almost all the time. They have clearly marked vegetarian (non-meat) dishes. The dishes vary from noddles, meat, rice to snacks.

I liked the food, especially mien noodles, which had a real taste of Shanghaise cooking, but to be honest the food was not really Chinese. Lots of dishes were Western idea of Chinese, or Chinese adapted to Western tastes, so that the customers would keep coming and not be scared of too alien food. It could also be caused by limited availability of Chinese spices and vegetables in Uxbridge, I can't really tell.

While the food was fine, and quite tasty, if you're looking for real Chinese treat and Chinese/Asian tastes, Tai Pan is not your destination. Maybe a la carte is different.

Huge variety of food. Cheap. Friendly staff. Nice lightening. Only down point is I don't take my family for meals here anymore if there's more than 6 of us because they try to get you out the door quickly. Lunch times are allot more laid back

The food variety is really good and the 3 course buffet is fantastic. From meat to seafood and vegetables for your selection. Offers a good service, nice spacious restaurant and friendly staff, they offers a lot but don’t eat too much otherwise you’ll get sick like me 😂😱😀😁

Arrived at 5.30pm sharp. Greeted at the door by a really friendly waiter who seated us right away. You go up and help yourselves to the various dishes as many times as you like. The food was very fresh and tasty and continually topped up. £16 95 is an extremely fair price for what you receive.

If you're a fan of oriental food, this is a great place to eat. It's a busy restaurant and that means the dishes are continually being replaced and are always hot. The staff are friendly and attentive and quick to remove you're finished plate for you to start on your next one. It's a slick operation in a lively setting and you'll find yourself caught up in the pace of things, so it's not somewhere you'll relax and spend a lot of time. But it's a nice clean and atmospheric place to enjoy an hour or so, but remember to book at weekends to avoid disappointment.

We regularly use this restaurant because it's a buffet style / all you can eat. Prices are slightly expensive but if you eat a lot then maybe it isn't! The food is fairly good given it's a buffet and there's a decent range of food on offer. I've had better Chinese meals but I've had a lot worse. The staff are attentive and remove dirty plates quickly. It would be even better if they offered 'bottomless" fizzy drinks.

My favourite restaurant for the last 10 years now! I live miles away (on the other side of London!) from the restaurant now and still go here on a regular basis. Counting down the days we can be back due to COVID-19. The buffet is incredibly good quality, tasty, wide selection on every visit. I have been vegetarian for the past 6 years and I can honestly say their dough balls/ mock chicken satay is the best vegetarian food I have ever eaten. 100% recommend - only thing they could do better is a loyalty system for customers like me! :D

Went for a lunch time buffet (Under £12.00). This place is within a short walk from Uxbridge tube station. Good selection of Soups, starters and mains. Dessert too was good- banana fritters/fruits/ice creams/cakes. Dinner buffet is a bit more pricier. Very clean toilet facility .

I've eaten here twice in the last 2 months (both dinners) and have enjoyed the huge variety and friendliness of the staff. 1st time with a group of friends and 2nd time with my family. A little pricey for a buffet but fairly decent choice of starters and deserts though soft drinks are very pricey. Less of a choice for vegetarians but there were still some options. No problem with any of us on both occasions.

Restaurant although centrally located but night time have to wait till 6.30pm before free parking kicks in so watch out. Food is good consider its a buffet set up. There are dishes 'make to order' which include in the price but in general these dishes are quite greasy so do ask for "less oil" when you place the order. The buffet dishes on display contain good variety with plenty to choose from. Service is attentive. Ambience is good, particularly for larger party gathering. Finally the price...um...think for the variety on offer its worth the money. But for a not-so-big eater it may seem a tad expensive but it's just a matter of opinion.

Lots of good quality, tasty, freshly cooked food. Im only sorry I didn't have enough room to sample everything! We visited on a Wednesday night, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Be mindful that drinks aren't included in the price of the buffet.

Great food - excellent. As a first time visitor I think a little more of a welcome would be good and the oriental atmosphere is not strong for me to give 5 stars. At just under £20.00 I'd expect a little more effort at the ambience
