A cosy and nice atmosphere with flavourful food.
Good portion sizes. The starters weren’t very grilled and were sort of just heated up but acceptable. The naan bread is lovely, as is the rice. The daal was very watery with a soupy consistency. Difficult to eat and served in a dish but tasty.

The family have gone to The Deccan since it opened in 1969, all through the years never let us down. Well done to Naz and the staff. The only thing I miss is George's smiling face😊

I don’t think I’ve been in before. I’d definitely remember!! It was amazing. So tasty and delicious. The chicken was perfect and there was loads too. Will be back at the weekend!!
This was the first Indian restaurant I ever ate at, I was around 14, I’m now 62, and the food is still yummy, if I didn’t know this restaurant and just read the reviews I wouldn’t have ordered as some of the reviews were terrible, service, delivery, cold food, however I had a lovely meal and came on
Best curry in Urmston.. Always have a lovely meal here whether we eat in or take away. Just finished our takeout tonight and everything was spot on. 5* hygiene rating too. We won't go anywhere else for our curry fix now.
Very nice curry. The pickles with the poppadoms were particularly good.
Meal was great from start to finish. I asked for a meal that wasn't on the menu and they did it perfectly. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. And I'm going again tonight. Lucky me. It's a shame I don't live in the area, but I could always move. What a gem of a restaurant. Carl Johnson.
Just started going back here due to being away a lot.
This is the 5th time we've been here in as many months with family, excellent service and friendly staff as always, great meals every time we go.

Just had a delivery omg food was unreal from the curry and rice to the pompodoms and sauces every mouth full was absolutely delicious!!! Best local Indian..can't wait for the next one!!!
Unfairly overshadowed by the Adrak, the Deccan is probably Urmston's oldest and it's original Indian restaurant. It was established in the 1970's I think. The food and service was great on our visit tonight, and the environment comfortable and welcoming. I would recommend.
