Had supper with a friend, we haven’t been since it changed hands. Great welcome from landlord, super friendly and warm. Pub was busy and it has had been freshly decorated. I had a sirloin steak with chips and all the trimmings, it melted in the mouth! My friend had a chicken burger, it was delicious. I overheard the people at the next table saying how fantastic the Sunday roasts were with everything made from scratch.
I see they have a great Xmas menu and are opening Xmas day for lunch. The menu is such good value with quality ingredients. We will definitely be back soon!!!
This place is an absolute gem! A gorgeous country pub. The food we had (steak and lasagne) was without doubt some of the best pub food we have ever eaten. The manager Tracey and chef Francis (hope I remembered your names right) we both wonderful. Just absolutely amazing service.
The garden is huge and lovely and even has a playground for families with children. Absolutley could not recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back! Thank you. Clare & Alan
Nicely laid out dining area. Very attentive landlady (?) and clear ordering. Great Sunday lunch, wasn't quite expecting sliced gammon (other meats great) but good quantities and great veg. The merlot was good too. You need to book, and it was busy. A good Sunday lunch

Went in today as one of a party of 8. The host was welcoming, accommodating and helpful. Good pub grub, reasonable prices and nicely served. Will certainly be back.
Me and some colleagues have been working remotely in Oxford for the last month on a nearby site.
We tried many local restaurants and pubs but this by far is the best of the best within the area.
The food has always been fantastic, perfectly cooked, tasty and fresh.
The staff and management are amazing, and can't do enough for you.
The pub it's self has a great historic charm coupled with sympathetic modern feel. Brilliant beer gardens.

Great busy pub which is lovely for families with a big play area. Food is good, lots of beers on tap and the atmosphere was friendly. Shame the current tenants are moving on. Hope it stays the same.
Been there a few times now, family functions and for date night. It's out in the sticks, so, if you want a friendly countryside pub, this is the place! I'd highly recommend it 👌🏻

Family and I went for Sunday lunch - v good. Good portions. Good meat choice: lamb, beef, pork. Friendly staff, lovely location. Would recommend booking.

Taken my family for several meals over years. We always enjoy their well cooked homely food from a various Menu. Friendly staff & really nice clean solid wood hi-chair available for our 3yr old Grandaughter. Plenty of wines & alcohol to choose from. Garden at rear with Children's play area & adequate parking too. Pub has large old fashioned fireplace which is lit in the Winter months. Give it a try ! 😉 🥕🥦🥩🍔🍺🍹

We have never had a bad meal here. Kenny and the staff always look after us. Food is always fresh and hot. Definitely one of our go to places for dinner.
Fantastic food and really great service. Prices are a bit steep but I guess most places are after covid.
